Deleting the Far Cry 4 System Registry fixed it for me

Steps:
Uninstall UPlay
Open regedit and find the Far Cry 4 registry folder -
Location HKEY-USERS/S-1-5-21-xxxxxxxxx.../Software/ubisoft/Far Cry 4
and delete it
Reboot
Reinstall Uplay using the most up-to-date installer from https://uplay.ubisoft.com and reinstall FC4
Start up FC4
how is it 12 years??? ..the GAME SHIPPED IN 2014 do the math ..also this is also only an issue for users that bought the game on steam since march of 2019 ..so thats not even 12 months yet

GET your facts right bro ..its not ubisofts fault that steam refuses to fix the files they distribute on STEAM servers ..my Uplay only copy does not even have this issue at all

i bought this game ON STEAM in 2014 the night it shipped ..rebought a gold copy when it was only 16 bucks on a uplay sale a year later

does my steam copy have an issue no .. as i did not get that failed update in march of 2019 ..as by then and the date steam messed up the map edit program they give out ... i already was running a uplay only copy so i had less DRM to deal with .. steam is only added DRM to this and many other Uplay games ..if they mess it up .. ask steam support about it .

previously of march 2019 yes my steam version worked perfectly ..steam messed some thing up with the files they have on their servers ..that creates a bad reg entry ..it has been reported multiple times //steam does nothing to fix it .. and i guess Ubisoft can not fix what Steam sells and the files they distribute
