    Far Cry 4 won't start,5 and New Dawn are working fine.

    Far Cry 4 won't start,5 and New Dawn are working fine. Some one in tech support blamed it on a CPU with too many core?

    what CPU do you own .. ???

    if its an AMD use ryzen master to limit the amount of CPU cores used

    if you have an intel high CPU core count CPU you can do the same thing with windows MS config

    see https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...1#post14012261

    no the game will not run on more then 8 cores on some systems due to the age of the engine itself.. and those new high core count CPU's came out years after the game shipped

    Verifying game files: Done that twice,no help. I've also uninstalled and then re-downloaded the game twice;still no help.

    Hi WildBill13! I was able to locate your ticket regarding Far Cry 4. I do not see where you were getting the idea about the Cores. I have re-opened your ticket for you. Please update the ticket with a copy of your MSINFO and dxdiag files.

    i posted a link above about the issue

    LOOK HERE -----> https://steamcommunity.com/app/29811...4915803308711/

    you can get Ryzen master Direct from AMD here https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/ryzen-master

    your CPU came out years after the final patch for the game .. the final patch for FC 4 came out in may of 2015
    current and final version = 1.10.0

    so if you want your game to work use ryzen master

    Thanks Mate;it worked! AMD Ryzen Master Ver. 1.5.3.0902 downloaded. Set: Legacy Compatibility Mode to ON. That sets the active cores to 8,and turns off the rest. NOW Far Cry 4 is working just Grand! Slainte Mhaith,Cheers,Bill

    No worries Ubi S S; I took WID992007's advice and downloaded AMD Ryzen Master I got the Ver. 1.5.3.0902. Set the Legacy Compatibility Mode to ON,which reduced the active cores to 8 and disabled the rest. Now Far Cry 4 is working just GRAND!
