Hey! Sorry to hear that you are having issues with the game not launching.
It is recommended to complete our troubleshooting guide to see if this helps.
If it does not help, we would ask that you create a support ticket and include your system files.
Just saw your post, Ubi-Viral.
As far as I know uplay is self-updating. Uninstalling and reinstalling it is the only step I haven't tried but don't expect it to be relevant. Already started a support ticket, too. But like I said I'm pretty sure this is just a day 1 bug that's gonna need a patch to fix.
Hey,
Can you add your system information to the ticket so I can check it out:

@Ubi-Mullac
Just added them. Sorry, I was asleep. https://support.ubi.com/en-us/Cases/08490855
I had to select the product 'AC3' as 'AC3 Remastered' wasn't on the list at the time I opened the case. Hope that doesn't mess things up.
Yup, support came back with "AC3 won't run on anything higher than Windows 8."
I mean come on. I said remastered every single time. And not only that but I can run the original AC3 just fine. I'm not impressed with the level of support so far.
I understand games can be buggy on release but right now I can't even play the thing AT ALL. May as well have absolutely nothing in my hands. Pretty disappointed with how this is being handled. The lack of phone support and the delay in response is not appreciated either.
1 - The minimum requirements page says nothing about AC3 not being able to run on 'nothing higher than windows 8' I mean are you kidding me? That's not how minimum requirements work. I can run the original just fine on windows 10. I can run the FIRST game just fine on windows 10. This information is just flat out wrong in the first place and the support guy writing it needs a new job or more time in training before interacting with customers.Hello Thortok2000,
Thank you for contacting Ubisoft Support.
After reviewing the msinfo, I have found that Assassins Creed 3 can run on nothing higher than Windows 8. Also it requires 17 GB of free space but you only have 15.9 GB.

2 - Also doesn't seem to understand how the 'free space' requirement works. As in, that's how much space the game takes up. ONCE THE GAME IS INSTALLED YOU DON'T NEED THAT MUCH FREE SPACE ANYMORE. And, I have 70 gigs free right now anyway. Maybe I didn't at the time of the dxdiag (cause odyssey was installed) but now I do. That's not the issue either.
3 - As already stated, completely ignored that I'm talking about the remastered game and not the original.
I have googled the phone number and it is just a recording saying to use the website.
I have tried to access 'chat' but when I put in the correct category for my ticket, the chat button goes away and I can only open a support ticket.
When I put in other details, it says "you have an open case, add this and go to live chat" and I clicked that and then it just added the details to the case and ignored the live chat.
PLEASE understand the customer experience here. This is nonsense. This is not how you support a product. You can either be slow OR wrong and customers will forgive you. Like if I was getting this information on the phone I'd be patient and say "that's wrong, try again." But being slow AND wrong both at the same time, is incredibly frustrating.
At this point I have no confidence that the information is getting to the correct place and that the people responsible for patching this game are even getting the data they need to fix it because this is obviously a patch-needed issue. If everyone is going to tell me that I can't even run this game because it "can't go higher than windows 8" there's something very wrong with this company.
