As for mentioned earlier in this thread, there is a work around which involves the steam Big Picture Mode.
1. Make a shortcut for Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered on steam, click at the bottom of the steam screen (Add a game), choose "add a non-steam game" and find the path to your Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered game. (If you got the game on steam, no need to do this step).
2. Launch steam big picture mode. (Next to your profile at the top, an expand symbol).
3. Then head over to settings at the top right of the screen (the gear symbol).
4. Under "Controller" go to "Controller Settings".
5. Check "Xbox Configuration Support". (Make sure the controller is connected).
6. Go back and launch Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered from the shortcut from steam while in Big Picture Mode.
If you want to play other games with the xbox one controller, I've noticed it can mess up if you leave on the "Xbox Configuration Support", so you'll just have to turn that off if you wish to play other games.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for this, helps a lot, just hope that Ubi will fix this soon so that I don't have to go though Steam to play a game I got in Uplay
