    Game alt-tab itself, never launches

    Hello,

first of all, I have no issue at all with AC Liberation, It's just AC 3 that seems to have this issue.

Every single time I launch the game, It alt-tab itself back to desktop and never actually launch the game, even though the .exe appears in my task bar and in
    my processes.

I tried reinstalling DX, I tried verifying the files, I tried redownloading the game, nothing works, the game just doesn't want to launch without a return to desktop, no matter what I do.

Just for info, I have a top specs PC and I run all the new AC titles in Ultra without any issue.

Any idea what might cause this?

Having the same issue, game keeps alt-tabbing by itself. Every time I click on it in the taskbar it comes back up for a few seconds before minimizing again. The game does seem to be loading and such as when it's in focus I can see the splash screen and such. Quite frustrating.

Ok I found the solution, by meddling with the .ini in the "Documents\Assassin's Creed III Remaster" file:

    Open the file
    Open Assassin3Remaster.ini
    Change the "WindowMode=2" to "WindowMode=1"

    It worked for me.

Thanks! I actually found a simpler solution that worked for myself... restarting the computer haha. Glad you found a fix though in case restarting doesn't work for others.
