Keep posting the pics! That beast get finer every installment.
Building anything at the mo' Mr Carts?
Having found colour refs of Mickey Mouse ear cammo's and blue/grey fire engines, I moved on to the vehicle kits last night. Time has not been kind to the RAF emergecy set. Lots of flash and p*ss poor fit to parts. Instruction sheet showing wrong sequence. I started the ambulance thinking 'It's a box on wheels - should be simple...' Surprised the neighbours haven't called the police as my foul-mouthed tirade shook the street. Will return to it later.
Refuelling set looks better, Recovery set missing decals (did it ever have any? Any old stager remember? I've sent an e-mail to Airfix/Hornby, will soon find out).
What a moaning old git, eh? They're 40/50-year old Airfix kits - what was I expecting? I'm sure I'll salvage something presentable - just not today.

For those in the UK
The Works bookstores are selling the Tamiya/Cassell & Co Absolute CD roms for both the Sherman and Bf109 for only £3.99 each. Nice little cds packed with info. Worth a pop if you have a branch local
TKMax had them in too at a fiver!

Thanks all! I think I'm going to put one more coat of yellow on the nose before I move on. I had thinned the yellow down to get a faded look but I think it needs one more coat to look correct. Should have some new pics up by Monday. I like the new sig LowFlyer.

You're too kind, gentlemen.
Another plug for 'The Works' from me - some good aviation related books in there at well under 1/2 published price. And dirt cheap pastel sets for weathering.
What do you think of the Roden stuff, Mr Carts? My local shop is a stockist and they do some out of the ordinary aircraft. And you do know every time you don't post a pic of your progress, a kitten suffers, don't you?

Just as well i dont like cats then
I have only built a couple of Roden's.A few years ago I did a 1/72 Gotha,(which didn't survive a house move) And this Pfalz,it's a bit basic compared to my Wingnuts LVG,A few large ejector pin marks, but not in obvious place's,only really started on the engine and that's gone together nicely.I will post a piccy once something worth taking a picture of is done, cant have drowning kitten's on my conscience.

@JG2, I can not help I fell in love with that brass framed canopy. How’s about that desert sand filter? It seems not perfectly fit to the standard air intake – not properly aligned. Does that come from viewing angle?
CyberWings, cool Stang, is that the Trumpeter kit?
Here we go for the next round for the old lady – I prepare her for evening out and apply some make-up to her pale skin.
What’s done til now.
Replace further kit parts with self made ones made of copper or tin such as the unit plate on the right rear.
Towing cable made of 0.5mm2 copper wire and brass sleeve. Kit machine- gun replaced by a self-made one, turned from a 1.0/0.6mm brass tube.
3 figures are already waiting to man the tank, but to them a little later.
The awnings I made of handkerchiefs which I fixed with water thinned casein glue. Harnesse are not fixed now, because I removed them for painting. The kit mirror on the right mud guard was not to my gusto and I made a new one of brass. As you surely noticed there’s only the mirror support w/o mirror – that’s no fault. As a Ex-Tanker I know one of the things that will be missed, damage first on a tank is it’s mirror or other peacetime features.
Here the complex undercarriage. Also you can see the dented exhaust pipes.

Mustang looks beautiful CyberWings! Thats the Trumpeter kit? I have a Dragon P-51D but it's not a very good kit having panel lines that look more like trenches. That Trumpeter kit looks fantastic. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
