Me and another random were playing with 2 clan-mates(randoms to both of us & not in mine or his clan) and we mad it to the final area of Jefferson Trade Center & it popped to vote kick the other solo random. I declined so the timer expired for it and boom another one popped to kick him(declined as well). I sent the dude a message saying they were trying to kick him & he replied with I know & that they were sending him vulgar messages to get him to leave(he got tired of it a left). I was then immediately kicked from the game by the 2. There needs to be some sort of fail-safe in the game. Like if you are halfway through the mission vote kick gets disabled.
This is the first time in Div2 I've run into toxic players( I am a Div1 player so I know they'll always be there). This community for Div 2 at-least my experience has been pretty good. People stick out missions will drop exotics for others if they already have it. Sucks that 2 "gamers" ruined that taste.
Kicking players is unfortunately a necessary feature and probably impossible to keep the tocis players from abusing the feature and turning it into their own weapon to carry out their toxicity. It is frustrating, but it really says more about them than you and deep down even they know it.
I would love to see a co-op reputation score in this game. A kick counter would be one thing that feeds into that rating. Then when you contemplate joining a co-op session, you see their rating, and know to avoid them.
Ah, but people will say that kicking because the player is "not good" should be OK. Well, it really isn't. If you are that great of a player and cannot tolerate players not as skilled as you, then you need to not join players unless you know they are good.
But if you are a true "great" gamer, when you find yourself in the situation of having to float a bad player, then you job is to help build that player.
This would bring me back from the solo side for sure!, Great Idea tcarlisle2012 and nice post btwtcarlisle2012:
