I just got this game like 2 weeks ago for 10 bucks. Really liking it. I'll be getting the Division 2 soon. Not sure when.
I can gear score to like 286. I'm still new to the builds and the classified stuff... but I'm learning. I've done all the story stuff, and I'm level 30 and all that. What to do next is a bit confusing, but I'm getting there. Just figured out today that you can optimize your gear... wow.
It's hard to find people through matchmaking it seems. I play in the afternoon sometimes and late at night. People don't add you much in the game, and it's just hard to get help it seems.
I know the game has been out for 3 years now, and a lot of people have moved on. But for me... it's like Christmas. I love it. If anyone else is newer to the game like myself, please add me.

Thanks. I'd just like to find a small group of people that are preferably new to Division all together or people that still play D1.
You'll get a few whom would rather pay $30 for a 3 yr old game than $60 for a brand new one, but I think it's a bit of a cash grab for Ubi to wait until TD2 released to offer the free trial on TD1 when most are now playing TD2. Especially since TD1 was implied to have an AI squad option, which seems to have not materialized. They have their clever ways of enticing people to spend lots of money.
So yeah, I would say it's most certainly dying. Just 2 hours in to the TD1 trial last night I only saw a handful of players, and most were the type to quit or weren't very skilled. You'll most likely have to change Agents you invite quite often.
I can say the same.Originally Posted by C1F3R_85 Go to original post
To the OP, I think your PSN means playstation so I probably wouldn't be able to help but if you or any others on PC want a hand, especially new players I am glad to help how I can. I have 2200 hours in TD1 now. I had the early access to TD2 and have only played to level 14 and haven't played it since. They broke the skills with one update, then allegedly partially fixed them later but I'm in no hurry. I am still enjoying TD1. In fact, I now have 2 accounts since my main account was totally maxed out with 4 characters, all with all 14 full classified gear sets, 3 are now fully optimized to 291.
OP: Whenever you hear/see they are doing a Global Event, clear your calendar. It is by far the best time to gear up, at least with the gear sets offered during that particular GE.
Division 2 reminds me a lot of the WSP zone.. mobs coming from all sides and stuff to do always spawning..
I'd play division one for awhile before going to division 2.. Division one is still a a lot of fun..
Division 2 needs a survival mode like division one has.. To me that is still the best mode either game could have..
Want to really enjoy the game, try survival a few times.. it's really good for leveling cash, because the gear you get from it is high end and sells for big bucks.. you can use that to help with getting your gear for leveling..
Matter of player skill and opinion on server activity and Survival it seems. I've watched a couple vids on it. One of Total Biscuit raving about it constantly, saying he was playing the PVE version to show progress and avoid dying early on, yet he died not once but 3 times in less then 10 min and never progressed beyond that. Then he kept saying he got fed up with the main game due to it being a bullet spongy grind. Granted that's probably excessive to say about the main game, since you can choose difficulty level of missions and which battles you engage in, but it DOES kinda make it look like Survival was a grind for him too, even on PVE.Originally Posted by CassiousCloud Go to original post
Then I went the opposite way and looked for a very skilled player doing a run through on the PVP version of Survival. This guy really knew the game well and was quite efficient at downing players and NPCs, yet he was constantly complaining about not enough players. Plus Survival is always the same nighttime blizzard conditions, with mostly scavenging and avoiding the cold. Survival is also the only of the 3 DLC really geared toward a solo play option, and I'm not convinced I wouldn't get bored with it quickly. It looks like a person familiar with the game can play it to completion in about an hour, and actually be overpowered equipping what's available in the map.
Survival aolo on pvp is quite good i think, everyone is a danger and the dz is just...wow. better get in there and know where you're looking for those sweet caches you need for the flare gun and other goldies.Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
I really enjoyed survoval, whilst td2 isnt quite on that difficulty level, its close. Survival to me is the true test of how good you are at the game and how adaptable you are. Great piece of content. The hunters are just as awful on td2 as well, especially when you take 4 on at once.
Is anyone actually playing this game? I can't find more then 2-3 players in any safe house when D1 came and for months afterward the safe houses where full of players! Fortunately I have a friend who I join on a regular basses. I only know about 3 of the 50 who are playing D2. And the rest left D1 and never looked back.
Can you tell me if Survival was patched to a level 30 requirement to play it? I went to the terminal at level 8 and it says you have to be level 30 to complete survival missions.Originally Posted by TH3WIDOWMAK3R86 Go to original post
I could see if that's the case and all other players and NPCs are level 30 or more, it could be very tough unless you know how to get or craft high-end gear quickly.
I'd also like to know why you see other agents when playing Survival PVE? Reason I ask is Total Biscuit thought he was being revived by one, until he saw the circle going red instead of green, and the player killed him apparently. Is this even possible in Survival PVE, and if so, why? PVE is supposed to be for players looking for a vs Environment scenario, not vs Players.
