please ftlog add an option to disable the stupid dection sounds

i can't be the only one who's annoyed everytime i play by the silly dun dun dun dun poww noises every time you are detected by enemies, who the heck thought that was a good idea ??? it destroys immersion, everything else is great but the noises just get real annoying after a while.

you should be able to disable them, you can turn of hud stuff, music, voices etc. but are forced to hear the dun dun dun dun powwww noises whenever you are about to be discovered grrr

This should definitely be an option. It would make life difficult, but so what.

shouldn't be much of an issue for them, they just added a whole new PvE mode so adding an option to disable some sounds would be easy for them right?

would be nice to also not have FALL BACK show up when low on health, and maybe add a health amount number to the hud. i don't like how the game is so watered down.

Yes it should be easy enough to get rid of them. It's a much simpler thing to implement than other changes we've seen.

I'm not sure if you're serious about that but it wouldn't really make it all that much harder when you consider the only time it comes into play is on shots so long you can't see where your bullet hit or blood spurts. Even then it is often obvious if you missed due to the enemy quickly taking cover.

I think the OP was talking about the ascending beeps you get as you get detected, Frag. The audio warning that sounds as the red brackets start flashing. That's what I was talking about at least, not the hit marker audio.

Yeah now that I re-read it, I'm sure you're right about that. Don't know why I thought of hit detection first.

yep, that's exactly what i meant, i just made a typo in the thread title should say "detection".

i'm talking about those dun dun dun dun pow sounds when you go from suspected to detected.

getting sick of game designers adding stupid things like that in games, for me it's up there with; (my bs list)

    call of duty bloody screen
halo 5 white screen / battlefront 2017 white screen when hit with certain weapon
    metro screen effects
battlefield post processing (vignette, lens dirt, sun flare etc)
games where you loose health and the colour is drained from the whole screen
black & white screen when going out of bounds on a game
    motion blur
    depth of field
    chrom abr
directional road arrows in driving games and glowing no entry barriers (forza)

    ...to name a few

Sometimes I wish suggestions like these actually get made just to see the exact same people complain on the menacing result of their own bad ideas they didn't think further from 'immersion'.
