When it hits it slices human target in half/vaporizes/destroys soft tissue. I agree damage is underrepresented in game.

As a former user, the game representation is fairly accurate, its a limited use weapon, weights a metric ton, cumbersome but great on static installations. Damage gets buffet with skill points but probably need 10-20 percent buff.

    Or maybe I am wrong.
As a former user, do you agree that at the very least this thing should be louder and more of a distinctive sound to it? I mean we should get the feeling that when anybody who pulls this bad boy out they mean business. I should be able to hear this thing going off across the battlefield.

This is meant to be a game , it is meant to be fun, it is NOT a simulator or meant to be real life.. And i think that is a lot of the problems with the game and balance, our character is like a sim and the NPC is the cartoon, we get wasted the NPC cad do anything a toon does... All the weapons in this game is a joke to be honest, and it shows after level 30.. Would love to see the FINISHED game but it will be like the first one and 3 years later (if anyone will still be playing ) it still wont be fixed...While the game is good it leaves you with a thought of was it worth the bother . and feels unrewarding a lot of the time...

I would say to give give a smaller magazine like 5 rounds max, and hold 4 extra to keep the same total and possibly decrease rof, but increase the damage output by a nice amount, or possibly increase the damage it does against armor so even if get a bodyshot you do heavy armor damage against elites, it does serves well to two shot bosses from long distances if you get headshots, but if you are already playing a headshot or bust style, is better ot just stack headshot damage on marksman rifles. I never stop and go "this is a good moment to pull my tac-50" outside of bosses, so during hte entire mission it just sits on my back because marksman rifles does the job more reliably

I would say its damage should actually be greater than the M32 Grenade Launcher. For a single target weapon I can't understand why its base damage is LOWER than the Hunting M700. Thing starts off at 97K damage which with the 145% buff only takes it up to 237K and even with 300% headshot damage that's only 711K. (the M32 on my Demolishonist does more damage than this and I can rapid fire off 6 of them with a huge damage radius)

TAC 50 with the 145% damage buff should have a base damage of like 400-500K, this thing should be dealing like 4 million damage headshots and deleting whatever the hell it touches, not being what it is now which is a waste of time to try and use.

The accuracy and damage need worked on for sure to make this viable....i can take out 8-10 enemies is a heartbeat with the grenade launcher.........THIS needs to be the highest damage weapon in the game.........don't matter what pants your wearing......what you gearscore is......what talents your running......if you so much as get clipped by a 50cal your gone.......hell in the real world i've read about the slipstream dealing damage even when its doesn't even hit..........

Yes yes yes it's just a game.........but if punks can one shot in the DZ with a pokey model 700 spoofed up with fake talents and you tuber cheese builds ............Then this thing needs to not just kill.... but shred those pesky exploiters into oblivion having them wondering why they ever poked their head into the DZ at all lol

It's a 50 cal so give her the credit she is due..................

Those damm WT4 Challenging Npc's are one shotting left right and centre.....time to even up the playing field

I say to fix this, allow the .50 cal to destroy WT4 Elite enemy armor 100%.

I am utterly disappointed with its horrendous accuracy, maybe one in three shots register. Headshots with this anti vehicle rifle should be one shot kills for all elites, except maybe for the Fallout style power armor brutes.Does anyone know if the optics can be changed?

That's being generous man these things can punch thru engine blocks in real life.......if they hit any npc or player alike it should be game over......they're not gonna become an issue in PVP as they time time to aim and have limited ammo.........would be a perfect counter to the 2 current cheese builds

"There are so many many stories and myths about what the big .50 can do, that it's hard to believe them - until you see it in person. Seeing someone hit by a .50 BMG round is an experience - it leaves an impression. Someone here mentioned a soldier that was hit by this round, fired from the big Barret sniper rifle.

What people have said is that, since it hit his rifle, as he held it crosswise accross his chest, that the shock of the impact alone, killed the soldier. From personal experience, I can tell you that that .50 BMG round would have gone right through the soldier's rifle, and more than likely would have turned the pieces of fragmented metal from the soldier's rifle into shrapnel, which would in itself have been lethal.

The .50 BMG was designed to defeat light armor, and I've personally witnessed this round, fired from an M2 (heavy machine gun), make Swiss cheese out of entire vehicles, to include the engine block - which just shatters, of course. It's hard to comprehend just how destructive the .50 BMG round is, until you've witnessed it personally - what I mean is that I wouldn't have believed the stories I've heard about the capabilities of this round, if I hadn't personally seen it.

It's awesome, and it kills just about everything it hits, whether it's a plane, a truck, and of course, people. It would take a really, really freakish set of circumstances for anyone to survive a hit to the torso, for sure, and even if it hits an extremity, it's more than likely going to mean the loss of that arm or leg - and that's a best-case scenario, and assuming the bleeding is stopped, and shock managed. I've seen more than a few people shot with the .50, and every time, it's been like one of those carnival freak show houses.
