Game Has Been Crashing After Splash Screen

I bought the $120 edition of this game while it was half off, and then put 132 hours into it. Ever since one of the game's January updates, the game will no longer launch. The splash screen pops up briefly, and then the game crashes. The game and launcher are both installed on my C drive, and my pc meets the requirements: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 17134). Intel ® Core i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz (8 CPUs) 16GB RAM. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080. I could play the game with most of the settings maxed out while maintaining a pretty stable 60 fps. The update caused the game to just not launch for some reason. I made sure everything was up to date, verified the files multiple times (there was nothing corrupted or missing obviously), uninstalling and reinstalling the game multiple times, running the launcher and the game as administrator, clearing out temp files, and all to no avail. I've just been waiting on AC 3 Remastered to come out since I haven't been able to play for a couple months. It's been a pretty big bummer not being able to play this game.

just a suggestion, try change your default sound setting to a headset or to onboard sound if your using a Sound card.
My Creative ZXR has been causing all sorts of issues on Win 10 and your issue was one of them till I reverted to Onboard sound.

    Regards,
