I find the day/night cycle far too quick and the night time seems to last for ever (in comparison to FC5).
I hate the night time (what's the point of pretty scenery if you can't see it?!) so just have to sit and wait until it gets light again, which is really boring.
Anyone know if this can be tweaked in an ini file or console (PC version) to make it permanent daylight?
Game Guru 2018 replied to this post but it seems to have been deleted. The email I got had his post as: "Has it ever occurred to you that permanent daylight a bit anti-immersive?!.
I see what you mean, and occasionally night time is useful (you can see the alarm towers at outposts easier, and be more stealthy for example). But for the most part it is just stumbling around in the dark.
My main point is that the nights seem to come around more often, and last much longer than in FC5.
I know they said being able to select ToD in GRW was on the table after many requests, not sure it will ever be implemented in Far Cry though. A big part of Far Cry has always been feeling extremely outnumbered by ruthless enemies, and now animals as well. Not sure they'd want to risk taking away much of the suspense by having no night. I personally as well would miss the awesome HDR effects of late afternoon sunlight in the sky as well. There'a also WAY more to quality graphics than just the colorful scenery. There's a lot to be said for quality lighting and shadow effects at night too.Originally Posted by reg0912 Go to original post
