What bothers me is that they'll push a convoluted community workaround through support, but they won't just look into the issue and fix it... Meanwhile the game is on sale, so you know they're selling more copies, and there's 0 issues with acorn purchases so they're making sure that's not broken (I don't use them, but you better believe the jump to the eshop page for them works just fine)
