I wear glasses and I wouldn't be caught dead wearing those so don't you go getting your panties all twisted up for a simple comment. I do have a pair of "Watching TV only" glasses that are a tad big but they are not that fugly.

You're not the only one with glasses designed for "special" needs - working from a desk with a PC & screen in my case.

Got one pair of those as well... hell, I use 1 set of bifocal for driving and home use, then the one for computer gaming at home, another set for work and the one for the TV.
