Game has been running flawlessly for months. However, in the past week or so I have been having the VERY specific problem that the OP described: The game freezes in the first 5-30 minutes of play.
Windows 10, DX12, Nvidia gtx 1060
What's curious is that sometimes this will happen, and other times I can play for literal hours with no issues at all.
Another thing I've noticed is that even when playing in full-screen mode, right as the game crashes sometimes the game will revert to windowed mode. And for some reason I can't get the game to stay in fullscreen mode. Every time I start the game it defaults to windowed mode. I don't know if that actually has anything to do with it or not.
Just updating after playing the entire weekend. Hard freezes persist. Sometimes after only 10 minutes of play, other times after a couple hours.
I've tried using both DX11 and 12.
I've tried updating to latest Nvidia drivers.
I've tried playing on lowest settings and Nvidia optimized settings.
Nothing really seems to make a difference. Again, this is windows 10 pro 64-bit.
Intel Core i5-7600 CPU @ 3.8Ghz
16g Ram
Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 6gb
Obviously not a cutting edge system. But up until about a couple weeks ago the game was running flawlessly.
Same deal here... i7-7700k, 32gb ram, 1080ti, win10 64bit. Randomly freezes taking it from full screen to windowed. It also started sending my cpu usage to 100%, but setting the frame limiter to 80 seemed to help that. Still, with about 60% cpu it hard crashes. I actually play with task manager up on my second screen now in anticipation of having to "end task". Moved basically all graphics settings to medium or low, depending - though they really shouldn't need to be down there. Files are verified. Problem is, to test a fix, it could take 10 mins, 30, or longer to see if it worked but so far no luck. It seems to crash much more reliably when I'm in a mission, rather than open world. I love this game but man is this frustrating.Originally Posted by Sircowdog1 Go to original post

I disabled the following ones after some research and minor stutters that I started having fairly recently like everyone else are gone.
- Low Latency Mode (In-game too)
- Threaded Optimization
Put these to Off and see if it helps. It did for me. Goodluck.
P.S, Not saying that these settings are bad in general.
But they are for this game up after fairly recently.
I cant get two tom clancys games to work. the division 2, and ghost recon breakpoint. both games crash and freez I only got tcgrbp to work one time and now I get a vram memory crash each time I try to play. tcd2 crashes every time. I have tryed every fix this week.
