I have been a avid gamer since the late 80s, my first hand on gaming was a Amiga 2600...
I love the CRAP out of the Division, and i played loads of the first instalation, but it seams to me, that the bugs and problems pluaguing the first one
ïs also a problem here.
People being stuck on bugs that makes them unable to progress, crashes, sound bugs, and all the myriad of other issues that has been a problem since day one of
The division.
I got over 400 hours the first year of The Division, broken as it was, and i can honestly say, i never played a more broken game than that.
( mind you i played World of Warcraft from beta to release in feb 2005), but as with WoW TD1 was such a good game in its core i chould not walk away.
And i see the same issues now with TD2... i have no programming experince, not coding for games. but surley there must have been steps to
take before TD2 laucnhed?
Im wel laware that bugs here and there occur, but game breaking problems, liek dailys and weeklys and skills not working, is the same as we
saw in TD1, exatly the same, why is this?
I`m a big fan of Hamish Bode, he made every week in TD1 and his State of the Game a event.
But i think its time you did more, and i have noticed, and i assume it was from the "higher ups" that to try and avoid negativ when doing the SofG
is understandable, but i wih more tranceparency.
I bought the Gold edition, afer having to do a cumbersome cancling with uplay, that took over a week, what the hell was that about?
and i spent currently £35 in the shop to get some outfits, you know why?
Becouse the explanations of what you can get from cashes from gaming is so damn bad, i had no idea most of the items where blue quality...
There is tons of issues with the game, but i will stay true and game until my eyes bleed.
Few things i recommend.
1. take a look over explanations for stuff in the game, are they realy explanatory?
2. do somethign about the weekly/daily reset, to include LZ and DZ loot boxes and such.
3. make the project UIs more intuative, its a mess now.
4. enable more customation for player, more freedom to change how they see things.
and a myriad of other issues.... but for the love of the gaming gods, start hot fixing issues thats prevalent.
A big fan Ulf Persson
Good to see a truthful honest opinion from a valued fan of the series and I agree on all of the 4 points you posted in a really clear and positive way
out of the 8 million registered users and 150k that participate here, it's good to have a base to speak with that are in the range of older gamers 30-60 and some in their late 70's, that's amazing!!!
Thanks, it as my intention to provide positive criticism, as i LOVE the games!!Originally Posted by Lens00140 Go to original post
I am 60 , been gaming from the start , always liked ubi games and over 2500 hours in the first one.. This one is a mess to be honest, starts easy get to level 30 then things start to unwind big time, bullet sponges are back.and now the 50% hit rate from weapons is more noticeable, clear the missions and get to tiers, and all hell break loose,. The amount of bugs in game is worse than the first one..
69 here and have been playing since pong in the strip clubs! There are many problems with the game that do make things difficult. I think the environment of the game on a whole favors the AI's. And needs to be improved to a more usable one for the player. Like more ability of using buildings in fights that overwhelmingly favor the AI's.
When someone calls for help the text is gone by time I try to have a look at what I need to do to answer it. I think it should show on the map who is calling for help and allow you to place a marker there so the calling party gets a notice help is on the way.Originally Posted by Heelfan71 Go to original post
61 here...the Amiga....or the Commodore 64 and 128...maybe on PC with the 486DX...original Nintendo & 64, Sega Genesis, Xbox & 360 and PS1,2 and now PS4...oh yea, the memories....
I know there are some 'Tweaks and Changes" needed...but for the most and majority of the game, it's been a huge upgrade over the Division 1 which itself was new and exciting. I think a lot out there when they first get the a game and suddenly find issues, bugs and glitches and start asking and/or demanding this and that be dealt with....seem to not realize todays games are far more complex , take far more people and time to make. No amount of testers and time will make any game 100% perfect on day one release...that's a fact.
D2 is a mere Baby right now at just 8-10 Days old....I'm sure some will see bugs, glitches, and issues all over....which over time will slowly disappear or become very minimum and minor...sort of like how Division 1 became better. They learned a lot for it...it clearly shows with this game and I and others tend to look at all the positives and be grateful because stuff like this was only dreamed of 15-25 years ago......Happy Gaming....enjoy...
