I world like to request 3 things I believe it could be simple enough.
First an option to turn vehicle "Visual" damage off. The reason being that the visual damage is just bad, (like extremely bad but this post is not intended as a criticism to the game so moving on), there are some of the absolute coolest places for Off-roading is this game, absolutely gorgeous, and it world be awesome to grab a Jeep in game to do some off road stuff, I used to have a lot of fun in Rockstar's GTA online doing just that with a bunch of friends, and the whole map in GTA online is just a quarter of the size of this game.
Second thing would be to add the German language for audio options in the US version of the game, that would be very appreciated, I'm not German, but I like how it sound and pretty much switch to that language in every game that has the option, like the Metro series or MHW.
There are plenty of weapons added to the game, and that's great, it would be really great to have the DSR.50 in game as well
I wish they would redesign the vehicle destruction in terms of the vehicles not blowing up just from shooting a window or tire, hitting broken parts sticking out of a vehicle, shooting a already shot out window. It would be so cool to use the right guns to take out the engine block or fuel tank. It's just lazy that you can just shoot any part and get the same results. I know it might be choice to make vehicle combat easier but come on.
I agree with vehicle cosmetic damage being a bit silly... If you're off roading and want to use photo mode to capture some cool scenes, your vehicle almost always looks like a wreck with a broken windshield, lights, hood, bumpers etc. They are a bit too fragile in this regard.
Also, it really make no sense that I can shoot a vehicle and it will explode killing all occupants. Even anti-material rifles don't have this effect, never mind small arms fire. It's silly and makes shooting vehicles way OP. Even a 40mm grenade is not going to make a vehicle explode. Vehicles need better hit box modelling. A shot with a 50-cal to the engine block might cause the vehicle to roll to a stop if you're lucky and cause a catastrophic mechanical failure, otherwise it might take several minutes/miles for the fluids to leak out before it stops. The most effective way to stop a vehicle is to shoot the driver... and that's totally lost with the current vehicle damage modelling.
Finally, while we're on the subject of vehicles, now that I've mastered the controls, the most frustrating part of driving around Wildlands, is the insanely slow drivers on Bolivian roads. Why does everyone drive 30Km/h? It's terribly slow and makes driving without causing accidents either extremely tedious or frustrating.
I second the request for the DSR 50.
I've wondered why they just didn't add the ability to manually repair vehicles like far cry (hell they imported all the rest of the gameplay) so if you find a vehicle you like you can keep it without immersion breaking teleporting rebel dropoffs.
Or if they added specialist kits as an option over a second weapon. Like a toolkit for aforementioned vehicle repairs and cutting fences. Or a climbing kit with grappling hooks on a rope launcher to get over walls and a repelling mechanic, and cliff climbing similar to how the new Zelda game works. A satellite com's gear to call in bomb runs from uavs or jets like those mercenaries games. Demolition pack with extra c4 or mines, an ammo pack or a stationary heavy machine gun that you can deploy in the field but can't run and gun with, a stim dart gun like the surgeon. If they used imagination and thought what could be fun to do instead of fleecing people with emotes ,victory poses and ugly imo weapon skins.
I honestly don't think they are still working on this game at all, it just won't get the treatment siege or for honour got where they actually fixed major glaring issues long after launch. Also if they actually do add heavily requested features like a knife in the main game it will be behind another season pass paywall (ahem echelon gloves much) even if you have fallen ghost dlc.
I thought that DSR-50 is the SR-1 in game.
Edit: After a quick google search, DSR-50 is the upgraded version of the DSR-1. It's subtlely different. The difference is cartridge .50 vs .308.
I made a thread about this how there should be minor weapon adjustments in order to make alternate versions of a base weapons.
Like M14 EBR vs M14 (wood composite one) or more notably the MP5 and all it's versions- MP5A2, MP5SD- navy, MP5K.
In short it is about game balance. A full platoon wouldn't fair well against an up armored technical. A gunship is what soldiers call in when they are in threat of being over run by a superior force, the idea of a four man squad coming out on top of an encounter with one, let alone three(Unidad alert level 4) is laughable.Originally Posted by VirtualRain. However, dying whenever big guns show up doesn't make for an exciting and fun game. So if you want to take enough shots, you can take down a helo with your side arm. Equally laughable, but fun.
Oh, Bone - frog, I don't think you properly read my post, I specifically said "visual" damage as in what you see when as little as a spit, can make the vehicle look like crap. The "Visual" damage in this game is horrible to say the least, but I'm not asking them to fix it, just an option to turn it off, and again, visual damage only, the vehicle would still take damage, just not visually until the point of smoke and fire. The reason is, I want to grab some of those cool looking Jeeps located around the map, and just have fun off-roading, my request doesn't even involve combat whatsoever, it's just that the "Visual" damage is so bad it detract from the experience of off-roading, specially for it's extreme exaggeration.
For balancing issues on the other hand, it would make for a rather long post lol
Well, the DSR50 is very similar, at the same time have some quite distinct differences, mags are bigger since the type of ammo, integrated bipod (as the normal DSR should also have though), but the coolest difference being the big boxy muzzle break.Originally Posted by Jedimindtrxx Go to original post
Your comment mentioned some extremely cool weapons like the MP5SD and MP5K, in the MP5 family they're all cool, but this 2 are absolutely the coolest ones
the audio folder in Wildlands is about 4.5 GB (without the DLC's) so adding another 4.5 GB in German audio doesn't make much sense to me, i guess you can always get a German copy of the game, remember not everybody has unlimited internet and Ubisoft is already killing this people with the updates of 15 GB and and sometimes even biggerOriginally Posted by AlexTM44 Go to original post
