Hi,
i know this discussion was made a few times meanwhile but since it was held in so many different Topics here and on reddit I lost a lil bit track of it. All I would like to know is if there is any chance that we will get the option to have "ghost mode like" settings for the normal campaign without the permadeath, without the rewards from normal ghost mode and without the prestige points ofc. I think it would not be that difficult to give your customers the option to play the normal campaign with only one primary weapons realistic mag's and frindly fire. I know a lot of ppl want this for a lot of different reasons and ubisoft should know it as well if they look in their own forums from time to time. I gues most of them would even pay 5-10 bugs for such an option.
So all I wanna know basicly is: Is there a realistic chance that we will get this in the foreseeable future or not?
Best regards
I agree. I'm playing through with some buddies from work I convinced to pick up Wildlands and I'd love for us to be able to play Ghost Mode lite as they just don't know the game well enough to want to dedicate the effort for it but like the idea of having to magazine manage and specializing a bit more with your primary weapons. I really hope the devs give us the option. Hopefully they game catches them enough that they'll play Ghost Mode with me if not.
I never really understood why this required a whole separate game to implement. I’m guessing it was to tie the (stupid) exo-suit reward to completion of the mode which would be hard to enforce with some setting options in the main campaign. It would have made so much more sense to just make Ghost Mode settings a part of the main campaign in the first place.
I personally am playing a Ghost Mode play through now with no backup save just to see how far I can go before I die. So the Permadeath aspect is a critical part of my current game. What I don’t like, is being limited to one weapon. I don’t mind carrying one weapon, but not being able to switch to another while out in the field is stupid. My vehicle could be 10 feet away, but I’m stuck with a sniper rifle until I can get to an enemy ammo box... which is even less realistic. The weapon limitation is just poorly implemented if you're at all interested in sniping.
The realistic reload is also unrealistic. No ones going to throw a half full mag on the ground. They should have implemented proper mag management and allow you to consolidate later. And to implement the realistic reload while still acting as an ammo vacuum for fallen enemy ammo is just dumb. The default campaign ammo management is actually more realistic if you assume you’re consolidating partially spent mags during downtime.
+1 when you swap to any enemy weapon, your own should be dropped at that spot, so you could then swap back, instead of vanishing into thin air.Originally Posted by VirtualRain. Go to original post

This is what I've been asking for.
Sorry.Originally Posted by Jedimindtrxx Go to original postbut you do see why the ghost Mode ammo management is unrealistic? In real life, you would put a partial mag in a drop pouch on your belt and later consolidate rounds into a few mags. If you end up in a prolonged firefight, at least you have that partial mag in your drop pouch... better than nothing. So if you follow this thinking, the main campaign actually implements ammo management better than Ghost Mode.
EDIT: (IMHO)
If they implemented ammo and mag management properly, you would have say 6 mags and the game would keep track of how many rounds were left in each. You could switch mags at any time, stowing the spent one and pulling the next one from your vest/etc. After you cycled through all of them you’d start over with whatever rounds were still left in each.
