Drop the Coop system in place

For me the coop system that Far Cry has been using is the main reason i'm no longer buying the franchise.

I'm a big fan of coop and the Far Cry series... At the Far Cry 4 i had to share my save game in order to mantain the full progress with my friend.

Then i played the Ubisoft game, Wildlands, wich has a great coop system, where the progress evolves to all players. I was expecting the same for Far Cry 5. It was very frustrating to find out (after purchasing) that it was not the case. (and share the save does not work)

Lots of people doesn't really have a lot of time to play, and when they do, not having their progress fully saved is really frustrating. To see your friend unlock new stuff and to think that you would have to do that all over again in order to achieve the same is bad (at least for me).

I can see benefits from the system in place but i really think that a REAL COOP would be much better.

Thats a tought i wanted to express long ago, just doing so now because i was at the glimpse of buying New Dawn and decided not to, due to that factor.

Anyway, Ubisoft might have researches that points the other way around and that most players actually prefer the Guns For Hire and not fully save the progress for both players (real coop), if thats the case... unlucky me.... =(

(sorry if theres already a topic about it)

We should be able to play co-op with randoms, also. Like I did in Watch Dogs 2 and Ghost Recon Wildlands.

And now with the bookworm completely destroying the coop it´s not gonna be used and when i lok up solutions ubisoft basicly say; it must be in your end. If one cannot make 2 ppl play together, which by the way is the absolute minimum to even call it coop/mp. Then one might be best of just leaving it out altogether

Co-op with random results in people killing your quest giving NPCS. Or Lagging your game. Or screeching in your ears over mic. Or getting all your kills when you are trying to get challenges completed or blowing your stealth gameplay or sabotaging your vehicle or bailing on you while they fly one. There are a lot of people with questionable mental stability in the gaming world.
I have a ton of fun in the current co-op. Disconnect only problem very rarely.

You are not forced to play with randoms. There should be an option for it when the game maker forces players to play co-op to get achievements in the game.

Thankfully there aren't many. I think it requires an excursion and scavenge a base covers it if I remember right.

There are plenty of UBI examples of co-op that works well. Along with Wildlands, there is The Division where you can largely hop in and out as you please and it keeps progress except if you leave mid-mission but that is to be expected.

I agree. I wish FC was like those in co-op

Agree that it's a lot better to play with someone you know. If that's impossible or inconvenient, is getting that achievement really so important?

Also, I really like being able to pause the game. Some co-op systems prevent that.
