    launching from Steam, i keep getting asked for activation code

    originally sent the following to Ubisoft support:

    I am having issues launching the free beta from Steam. I've uninstalled the beta several times and re-installed from Steam. Each time that I go to launch the game, I am getting asked for an activation key. I've participated in the previous 4 betas, so I imagine this is causing an issue. I've uninstalled and re-installed Uplay and I've unlinked Uplay from Steam and re-linked it. When I login to Uplay and click on the activate Space Junkies banner, I get prompted to install it from Oculus and tries to install Oculus Rift software. I have a Vive and not a Rift. I've repeated this process several times now, launching the game from Steam with uPlay already running and with it not running. Any assistance would be appreciated.

    and I was told that I am still on a waiting list for Space Junkies open beta (see below) chat transcript.

    I fixed this particular issue. I had to go into my Steam support page (https://help.steampowered.com/en/) and permanently remove Space Junkies Beta and after reinstalling the game, it opened without prompting for activation keys!
