D1 forced you to interact directly with more people, had better cutscenes, and memorable personalities. Each NPC had its own unique story and motives. In D2 there's just a big bunch of "we gotta save the people!" generic personality.

D1 also had a better atmosphere, the whole time I was playing it I *felt* like I was in a frozen wasteland scrambling to stay alive and save others. I just don't feel it in D2 sadly. I'm not captured by the game, I don't feel like I'm in a war to survive, I feel like I'm playing just another tropical shooter with generic bad guys.

The mechanics are great, combat is fun, I love the game....but it just doesn't have that same feeling at all.
Wish there were more developers like Capcom, Rockstar, CD Projekt Red etc whom can write a decent yarn and do so without identity politics with comical token characters ruining setting and tone.

Example Rockstar created a story without any forced politics that contradict the time period and people loved the story. RDR2 has gone on to sell well over 20 million copies worldwide....

Seems like no bad place to ask my silly question

What's happening with America's Nuclear power plants?

It's the one question that always seems to bug me in these games, not just Division, because it never gets answered or brought up.

What exactly is stopping these plants from going nuclear? Forgive me that

Im no exactly knowledgeable in this hence im always confused why it's never mentioned because it seems a very big deal

From what I've heard they have contingency automated processes in case of emergency nationwide shutdown. Where they idle on producing minimum power. But 7 or more months without attendance if still running... Yeah they would likely have gone nuclear in the real world or there would have been a safemode automatic shutdown procedure.

I thought the story was. Some person infected America. Secret group reactivated to save humanity. You get to be the badass saving everything.
Someone else posted earlier That Ghost Recon:Wildlands has a great story. Just wanted to say, I concur. Great story in that game.

I think the story, dialogue and characters in this division 2 are boring, bland, empty, emotionless, pointless, and just not at all interesting. Things just happen out of the blue. WOOO WE FOUND THE PRESIDENT!!! Like just like that? Every bit of dialogue feels like the voice actors were tiredly reading from a script in a very monotone voice. I havent had one moment where this game's campaign was immersive, intense, interesting or otherwise. That Manny Ortega guy is more braindead and a day late and dollar short than lau ever was. He literally tells us about the very thing were doing while were in the process of doing it...like, hes so useless it hurts. I facepalm when he talks....

Kelso is more annoying than either Lau or Kendall from the first. Kelso either needs to be laid or laid out, one of the 2. Shes just an ***, every video ive seen her in now, shes just screaming and shouting the same old "WE NEED YOUR HELP!! WERE DOING ALL WE CAN!!!!" /YAWN. We dont have any sarcastic/serious types like Rhoades, or the Goody 2 shoes, brilliant, morale boosting leaders like Benitez. Even the enemies...I found a Echo with Ridgeway executing 2 deserters and it was just the most bland, boring pre-execution speech in the world. I stood there listening to it and was getting sleepy. It wasnt like 'ooohhhh shiiiii, they dun messed up!!!'...rather it was..."ok, when is this going to end!?" The only character I mildly like is Odessa Sawyer.

Then the Rogues...why are they rogue in this game? Atleast Keener had a storyline and a reason. One could atleast feel for him. I found another echo with rogues shooting each other and was like...why did you *******s go rogue?!

Settlements and resources, all that just feels like pointless chores. I am failing to see the impact neglecting my settlements makes. Hell, the civvies are like super soldiers anyway, why did they need the Division again? 1 guy takes on 6 True Sons, including a heavy firing in their face and they dont die. Me? I take about 3 shotgun shells to the face and im knocking on deaths door.....trying to farm for resources is far more a chore than anything worth doing. The nodes dont replenish that fast and the settlers themselves seem to keep everything stocked up well enough.

This story is no story, it just feels like busy work to pass the time until WT5 happens and we all start making builds. Like this entire game is just a means to an end, rather than an immersive world. We dont even feel like the epic Division heroes that we felt like in D1, rather, I feel like the worthless JTF Soldiers from Div 1 for the most part. I mean, sure, its fun to tacticooly flank and spank the baddies, but yeah....I am not really getting into this game nearly as much as Div 1...paired alongside whats promising to be one hellva gear grind, I see me getting burnt out on this game quick.

Aaron Keener is the First Wave Division agent from Division 1 that went Rogue in New York after a bunch of horrible calls by President Waller during the Green Poison outbreak in New York. Now he has gone completely insane and seeks to unleash a enhanced version of the Green Poison on the entire world to wipe out all Governments within the world.

He is currently marked as a Terrorists and wanted by the entire world due to his plan to unleash a new and stronger Green poison on the entire world.
