Yeah the AI of some older games is better. MGS V is an example. Yes, the enemy AI in MGS V is blind and can't see you from 80m away even when you run in front of them and have tunnel vision but during combat they act realistically. If you for example fire a shot at them from far away and miss, they will start suppressing fire at your position and then will start searching the area near you.
In GRW when you miss a shot they start charging at your position and will come right at your position as if they already know where you are (yes, this isn't fixed yet) or they will call reinforcements right at your position.
In MGS V when an outpost/guard post is on alert mode they will remain alerted a whole day. In GRW they will resume in normal mode after a few minutes as if nothing happened even if you killed their buddy in front of them minutes ago.
Camouflage wise, what you wear plays a very big part in MGS V while in GRW what you wear is purely cosmetic and the enemies will see you even if you have the perfect camouflage.
And for last the friendly AI. In MGS V the buddies are a million times smarter than the squad AI of GRW. Take for example Quiet. If you are about to be spotted she will shoot the guy that's about to spot you and during combat she will kill the enemies that are closer to you and won't let other enemies attack you from the back unless an object is in her line of sight. In GRW your AI squad lets other enemies attack you from the back and they don't help you even when you are pinned down. Also during combat the enemy AI targets only you even if your teammate stands right in front of them (this happened multiple times for me).
But anyway back to the topic. Yes the game has many flaws as stated before, but a new DLC wouldn't hurt. It's a new chance for Ubisoft to revive the game and bring more new stuff.
Mate, the Squad AI can't even tell the difference between an Apache and a Cobra, nor a minigun and an LMG. They also don't know how to equip properly for their combat role - Midas is vehicle specialist but has the drone backpack, and Holt is the drone operator but has the sapper backpack.Originally Posted by AvengerGR35 Go to original post
This. And they also can't tell the difference between a Submachine Gun and an Assault Rifle. Not to mention that despite Holt being the Drone Operator your character always controls the drone.Originally Posted by KunninPlanz Go to original post
