WT1 to WT4 in in one evenings play? this is not 'end game'.

Anyone here play aRPGs like Path of Exile or Diablo? Or Looter Shooters like Destiny? or Warframe? Anyone have 1000's of hours in those games? Most of you? I do. Why?

They have systems that promote repeating content to get better loot, so you can run harder content, to get better loot, to run harder content, ad infinitum...almost

I am done with this game...not quitting out of frustration I literally am done as in completed, as in finished, as in 'it is over'... I love it...I just have no objectives left. I have gear that crushes the 'challenging' missions solo or grouped. I can swap to a skill build, crit build, elite killing build. Sniper, demo, survivalist are all but capped out (who needs a level 30 pistol in a skill tree ffs). I am just finished the game, and that is a massive problem for a game that I bought into a 1 year pass for. I just want to grind out the existing content and have some kind of character progression. It's not rocket science. The model for this can be found inside every DnD game box.

This game say's on it's web site, "The Division 2's brand-new endgame presents added challenges, game modes, and high-end rewards, offering new ways to play and further upgrade your Agent." In what sense does the 'end game' currently in division 2 meet these criteria? Sure you could call WT1-4 end game if by end game you mean 1 evenings play time. But what game modes are added? What new ways to play are there? Where are the high end rewards...exotics?... a shotgun an smg and a pistol all of which serve the singular distinction of being more useful holstered! What is new about the end-game other than it being just a bit more story that gets taken away after you finish it once?

I read a similar post and the response was, if you rush through it 'of course you run out of things to do' what a crock of ****.... I rushed through warframe and I still play it a couple of days a week 6 years later, some times doing content I did on day one! I rushed through Path of Exile, then I entered a race where everyone rushes through it, then I entered another race where everyone rushes through and if they die they have to start again, then I entered another race where they rush through it over and over until, after 7 or 8 hundred rushes through it they find out who rushed the best! Content is not something that runs out in this kind of game. It is just a means to an end and that is what end game is. That is what this game needs if it wants to claim to be a looter. Not lots of drops you can't even carry or store and deconstruct cos you have no ****ing space left.

As is, I got my money's worth, I just didn't get the end game. there is no end game. the end game is cake. we all know what the cake is.

The bottom line is that this game is a looter shooter. The whole point of a game like this is to get to end game where you then spend the majority of your playtime. You min/max you gear, build several different builds and you to the highest level content available and pvp to test these builds.

As of now Ubi/Massive released the game without the final step in place. There is no reason to do any of these things because we know that "soon" world tier 5 and the actual end game content will be implemented. A week or two, which IMO is a bad design decision.

People argue "well thats how its always going to be.. there will always be a new tier so whats the point? Easy. We know itll be at the absolute earliest late Summer or early Fall before we can even think of a world tier 6 etc.. But we were told from before launch that WT5 would be directly after release. So a week or two. But as of now we dont even have an ETA and those of us at the gate are in a state of limbo.

Its frustrating.. because morons say "it gives people who didnt get early access a chance to catch up" but that is an idiotic reason since most of the people I know that didnt get early access are at the same point too. And those that arent it doesnt matter because its a still a stupid argument that if it were true means the game was sold under false pretenses. It would be like you buying a ticket at a higher price to see a new movie early. Then you get to the last 30 mins of the movie (the climax) and the movie freezes and the Usher walks in and tells you that you have to wait for everyone else who bought a regular ticket to watch the movie and get to the same point you are until you can continue.

The second idiotic argument is the "health of the game comes first" argument. But that is trash too because thats what BETA TESTING is for. We shouldnt be paying full price on 80% of a game. This game right now does not have its end game in the actual game yet. We got played if thats the case. Its like scenario one except the movie stops at the climax and you are told you have to wait for them to fix the movie projector first and they have no ETA.

All in all its a bad situation and is gonna drive players away.

I'm not saying OP is wrong, but I think he belongs to a so called 1% group that is not worth catering for.

This game is being worked on for over 3 years, a lot of studios, people time and effort went into the project. Some people, like OP burn through all content within a couple of hours and are ready for more.

Again, that's not wrong, everyone can play the game however he or she wants, but the effort the developers made for this game are not based on the desires of this particular group.

I'm only 50 hours in, and currently in WT2 and I know for sure I'll need another 25 hours to get the blueprints and masks. And I haven't even tried Skirmish or went in to the dark zone. If it goes anything like TD1, darkzone is where I'll spend most of my time.

As for OP, you said yourself you have the year one pass. That means you are willing to commit to this game for a longer timespan, why not follow up on that? Play some darkzone and PvP, work on some commendations, and before you know it, new content will be added.

But we were sold it, and not as a 'coming soon' free expansion deal. It says it's in the game, it says it on the website and it says in the launch press releases. I didn't rush through the game to sit on my ***. I rushed to get to the mythical land of end game and it wasn't there.

All the aRPGs I've played Diablo 1 2 3 Grim Dawn Titan's Quest POE Van Helsing 1 2 Torchlight 1 2 to name a few... And all the MMOs I've played have this issue. You wear-out the content and wait until something new is released. What do most of do when that happens? We play other games.

Bravo on spending hours rushing through TD2. I know how it is, I've done it plenty of times in other games, but unlike you I decided to take my time with TD2, because I knew I'd hit the content wall sooner than later.

I don't see WT5 really being the answer to your problem though. You'll blast right through it and then you'll be back here vocally complaining about it.

It's not so bad... you could have purchased an EA title.

    Just saying.

1% might be a tad over stating it, I got around 50hrs all side quests done, almost all missons done of hard or challenge, I took my time playing the game getting every control point ect and going from Teir 1 to 4 was very short maybe 1-2 hrs each, I'm just not sure what the point of having teirs at the start of the game when they are so short to begin with.

Maybe they should have had no teirs and added one meaningful jump once in a while?

The only way to stretch out teirs 1-4 is just avoid combat or go afk imo. As each teir is just 3 missions.
