It'd be nice to get an update on this issue. Identified yet? ETA? Plan to fix characters affected by it? (will we have to recreate our appearance or is the data there to restore)

Even if they fix this bug I doubt there is any stored information on what your characters looked like before it occured. As such, the only way you will probably get your old characters back is if ubisoft allows us to fully re customize our characters are the barber (skin, eyes, sliders, ect).

this needs to be one of your top priorities right now. my playthrough has been halted because im running around as a grotesque looking woman. and its not just me who has this problem. ive scoured reddit, gamefaqs and this site and found over 50 claims of people who have similar issues. please at the very least announce that your fixiing it so we can at least have some form of relief. im lvl25 and ive sunk 26hrs into this game. im not gonna start all over again because of this bug

How does this keep you from playing though is the question?

You almost never see your character from the front unless you are a screenshot junkie, but even then it doesn't keep you from playing the game.

I mean sure, but as of yet there is nothing else that is a credit dump in the game. You don't need to buy any of the gear at the vendors as you find so much out in the world. They are trying to avoid a situation where they finally release stuff that requires credits, but people don't have millions of credits saved up and they can just buy everything. Otherwise the way to balance that would be to make everything cost millions of credits, but then new players would feel overwhelmed like they would never have a shot at getting whatever the credits are for.

It doesn't, for me at least. I've been screwing around with the barber hoping a different bug would give me my face back and I've noticed that if I make a string of changes and then Revert them, depending on the changes I make it'll only revert the last change and keep the rest but resetting my cost. Furthermore, exiting the station at that point keeps all but that last change it reverted.

HOWEVER, I highly recommend avoiding the barber right now if you don't want to possibly permanently ruin your character's face.

I've heard this same reply at least 5 times by different moderators and have yet to hear of a confirmation from Ubisoft. Please don't make a note of the situation. Make it a priority. This bug really is ruining the game.

I just hope they know that for some people the bug is permanent.. when they said something along the lines of "its an annoyance but you can just relog" during the last state of the game my jaw dropped... it's permanent for some people, messed up 100% of the time regardless of how much you relog--I wish they would acknowledge that.
