kat-kun, this is definitely a sentiment I've seen a good number of players have. Might I ask after you general play style, weapon and skill setups, and such?

I appreciate the mixed feedback I've seen here, by the way. But as a reminder, telling posters to 'get good' is both discouraging and ultimately unhelpful. I encourage you all to share the details of your experience rather than the broad strokes! Your build or setup might just hold the secret for someone else's success! (I know I've taken quite a bit of advice from these forums to heart and it has gotten me quite far.)

I die solo and I die in group, it's a game, failing is part of that. The important thing is I learn from those deaths and change what I'm doing. I use different skills, different weapons, i figure out how to approach different situations.

The game is extremely rewarding to solo player and should be left as is.
I agree with this. I find it way more enjoyable solo as enemies are killable at least. Using the turret to help with damage and also to supress them. In a group of 4, if you dont have a perfect damage build, you feel like tickling the enemies with Nerf Guns!

Setup? During 1-30 i just switch pieces for better ones dropped. Any junk...non branded set whatever

I run shotgun and rifle, my friend used assault rifle and smg and so on.

Skills are situationall or when you have faves you gonna use faves, my first loadout was atk turret &drone so skills earn that inconvenient 15s bug and i was forced to use seeker(lots of fails) and chem launcher

Revive hive still bugged until now.

People need figure out by theirselves the correct or at least usable loadout, when people dont reach even t1 and complain theres literally nothing to do besides "git gud or leave", theres hundreds of youtube videos for people learn something.

Massive/ubi done a amazing job in division 2 keeping lvl 1-30 friendly to everyone and wt4 challenging enemies a nightmare.

Besides challenging enemies rush to your position and shoot through walls and pointing guns for other side and hitting you, theres nothing wrong with difficulty in this game. But my points are wt4 challenging, is clear as crystal that op dont see that(and dont will if dont git gud)

Thats all I wanted to say, as there are plenty of other difficulty posts on the forum atm and I already posted my personal views and what I think is the main issue with difficulty in a couple of them.

I don't think anyone wants to "remove" the difficulty or challenge. We just want the challenge to reasonably scale. If you are having an easier time than the others then maybe it's possible that you are using something that is broken or scaled correctly while the rest of use who want to do something different are being left behind.

I think there is a real problem with the game but it's not a solo only thing. It's not like we are trying to use level 1 gear in WT4. We aren't stupid and it shouldn't even be possible to make it that far with that gear anyway.

Also, I think at this point we are beating a dead horse with all of these posts. It's be addressed over and over repeated.

Solo play is definitely unfair in certain situations.

Being on world tier one I find soloing okay in many circumstances. I haven't had any problems with missions so far. Capturing of control points go pretty smoothly most of the times well. Public address systems don't seem t be too bothersome either. Every now and then some of them end up being quite challenging under the right conditions.

Ones that more often challenging and sometimes blatantly unfair are public executions and elite patrols. Those can get way out of hand pretty quickly. You get too many flankers or a a couple of flankers, rushers, and some dude firing a grenade every 3 seconds and becomes too overwhelming. Add that these often have extra waves of superior or elites (as many as 5 waves I've counted one time). I think these types of scenarios, ones that take place mainly in the open streets, need to have some adjustments. Either to what combination of enemies there are, or maybe fewer enemies, or slightly less aggressive tactics. Most of my deaths solo come from these encounters. Anywhere the player can be overwhelmed by an unbeatable amount of crossfire.

On thing that ticks me off is how easy grenadiers can drop grenade right on top of your head when you're behind cover but how hard it is for you to hit them behind cover. It's near impossible to drop one in just like they do to you.

Solo is mostly ok, but certain types of encounters definitely need tweaking to make them more fair.

And to those useless peopel saying "but it's an online game" I ask you then why is there any solo play allowed at all?

To those that say "git gud" I say "git bent".

I find that the scaling after level 30 is much more difficult than I experienced while leveling. I rarely died while leveling and now at tier 4, I die all the time due to the scaling of NPCs compared to that of my agent in world tiers. Enemies swarming you isn't as much of a problem expect when you get extra elite mobs on patrols now that spawn on your point or suddenly appear on a patrol even if you have killed everything in the area to eliminate the added mobs. I have even had elite enemies spawn on a point I have just taken (green) with the friendly search patrols. Something isn't right here. I have also not been able to loot the main box in a control point even after I had to kill everything twice due to the length of time it took to clear the point and the patrols. It has to be a bug and could be related to calling for back up multiple times if the friendly NPCs die. And despite what people have said, I find it much more easier to play with a group than solo. If you happen to die, you get resurrected rather than respawning to start over. Perhaps if they allowed the NPCs to res you, it would eliminate this issue all together.

I quit the game because I die constantly in solo mode

I like to take my time and explore the maps and the gears and have played through a lot of action games solo like Tomb Raider games and Far Cry games. But I have died so much even on easy mode trying to solo this game that I just quit playing it. For those who want to get killed over and over again there should be a hard mode. But to play easy more and not be able to advance through the story to get gear and see maps is just dumb. Not really a fan of random groups because everyone is rushing like crazy and telling you to hurry up and how much you suck but with this game soloing even in easy mode isn't an option. I got it for cheap, thank god, because I don't play it anymore. My first and last Division game. Not going to bother anymore. I'll play Far Cry or something else I can have fun with without constantly being pissed off. I can go to work if I want to be constantly annoyed. I don't need that same feeling in a game I'm trying to play just to relax.

I prefer solo. this game has gotten much better for solo. I will say if you use the wrong tactics you will be shut down fast. try changing your tactics. improve your tactics. be more aware of what each and all the enemies are doing and stop them from applying "tactics " on you.

if you run dps build you got to finish them faster than they can finish you. tank build cant just face tank all the enemies, it still needs to use cover and prevent flankers. skill builds employ a barrage of spread out dps sources to attack the whole field at one time effectively confusing and overwhelming the enemies.
consider calling for help and if any body come to aid watch how they handle enemies.

these are things I learned by failing and by watching others.

I also uninstalled this. This is a shooter not a WOW. The only option to compete with NPC's are skills, as weapons and builds are always changing for the worst. Tanker's can't hit anything even as the armor is supposed to help you survive. The whole concept of all offensive armor is ******ed at best. How wearing an plate carrier vest improve damage of a gun? Damage of guns should be improved only by ammo and mods on THE GUN. Period! Mods of guns are for "crits" Criticals should be obtained by weak spots being hit not by a gun mod.
This whole game is like magic wands and magic levels of enemy without all the role play a shooter is supposed to involve. Send the LVL 40 SEAL to Africa. He can die from a LvL 0 bushman's AK just as well. Whole difference is the options given by gear to go in the night or use advanced recon to get the advantage. In my opinion all games that went the level path failed sooner than later because of the bad concept they started with. I really like the story about the outbreak and surviving idea and fight to restore some sort of normality. The game fails when story take you on so many weird gear farming path you get fed up with no progress. The map need to reset for new gear to be magically inserted back into some loot chests that territory or even hostages saved fade in meaning. The game becomes just a drag to get that "RNG drop" that lost meaning the second it dropped. The spawn and re-spawn of bad guys is also without purpose. The guns have no meaning. Sniper rifles to shoot 50 meters away. Sniper wifle with "skill" to kill enemy in under 7 meters that gives bonus that last seconds. WHAT is wrong with you devs? Inspiration never snine on your street?
