I've seen this mission played in a challenge where you can basically take the person you need to interrogate down into the pit and interrogate him there, so the timer is a complete non issue. I could play it this way but it's a bit hard to justify knowing where the next part of the mission will unfold, and even why I would bother taking this guy anywhere to interrogate him. I think I need to play it as scripted unless someone has some other ideas to justify cheating it.Originally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post
In my current play through, I'm solo... lone wolf. Now, having said that, I occasionally turn on my AI Squad mates, but I refer to them as my "Rebel Team" as they are all dressed like Rebels and in my role-play scenario, are Rebel help... not SOF.Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
So... do you think I can do this solo? Do you think it can be done without a helicopter?
I may give it another try solo without a helo to see if I can get it done. I think the Exfil at the end is probably going to be the biggest problem if driving out of there.
I kinda figured by "Rebel team" you were referring to another role playing thing, but wasn't sure. I don't see why it can't be done solo without heli, but you're going to need a vehicle parked in a good spot to drive to the mine quickly, and I advise taking out as many guys at the interrogation area as possible. Otherwise they might cut you up getting back to your vehicle. It can be done, it will probably just take longer. A good place to park is where I left mine down in that gully. It's pretty close to the interrogation area with a straight shot to the mine (if you drive carefully and don't flip it), but also concealed. Don't forget to park close to the guy you rescue after taking out the first enemies guarding him, BEFORE you release him. And you'll probably want a durable and fast vehicle for this. I recommend a Landrock because they're well armored and faster than the armored SUV. You're obviously going to have to steal one before heading to the mission to do it that way though.Originally Posted by VirtualRain. Go to original post
It turns out it is no problem. A helo and a team is totally unnecessary.Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
The biggest challenge was clearing the first area. One missed shot or badly timed kill on Extreme is enough to thwart the whole mission which happened last night, and once again today. So I finally just systematically killed everyone with patience and precision. Then interrogated the dude, ran back to my vehicle near the entrance to the facility, and drove down into the mine pit with plenty of time to spare. I then took out the 5 or so tangos that where there guarding Wagner before they even really knew what was going on, loaded Wagner into my Off-roader, and drove out of there using the southern loop road. I had to drive past one poor road block attempt and then rather than use the windy roads to get out of the pit, I used my Off-roader to climb the hill at the NW corner of the pit that put me on the highway heading into Barvechos city and it was an easy hassle free run to the safe house from there. I had some white smoke coming out of my vehicle, but that was mostly from hitting a few rocks on the off-road portion. I was expecting way more resistance on the last exfil portion than what I encountered. I’m not sure why that was so easy.
Interestingly, someone was complaining about this very mission today on Reddit and I referred them to your video. It’s hard to complain about it when someone does it with no skills or HUD or solo with limited HUD and no helo without much trouble.
Your video series shall be a great confidence builder and guide for anyone having questions about a mission in this game. Thanks.
You didn't clarify if you parked the vehicle close before releasing Wagner, but I'm guessing it was that easy because you did, and also because unlike me, you had no squad to wait for. Sounds like you also drove a smart route outta there though, and that's key when driving on the 2nd phase of that mission. Like I said, it's really not hard to avoid being overwhelmed by the SB that are scripted to come, especially if you know WHERE they come from.Originally Posted by VirtualRain. Go to original post
Thanks for the praise on the guide and referring others to it. I'm kinda done with the game now but I still come here daily to offer any input I can. My latest challenge was beating the Jumbe elephant battle in AC Origins on Nightmare with nowhere near max player level, or max bracer and armor, or max weapon level. I was at player level 34 and Jumbe was so far above my level his level appeared as the dreaded white/red skull icon instead of a number. Despite that, I beat him in just under 5:30, even though two of my 12 Overpower attacks disengaged for some reason and had to be re-engaged. At least a couple times Overpower drained my stamina to zero instead of half too. It's got it's quirks like this game, but definitely fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64GEou2zgk4
Thread is now more visible as for some really good feedback received from some of you here![]()
Thanks Alien. Once again you impress with your attention and thoughtful response to community feedback.Originally Posted by Ubi-Alien Go to original post
All Hail to the Alien! And the OP of course. Great Job!
I wasn't even aware this thread had been stickied. I was looking at it thinking I was in the Threads section seeing someone revive it from the last 2 month old postings, and here it was stickied instead. If that was you whom stickied it Alien, much thanks. As has been said though, great threads come from great participation and discussion, so thanks as well to all whom participated.
I also posted this on Tom's btw, and even though such "Tutorials" over there as they're called (or "Articles" now), are supposed to now have the option to comment, it's been like pulling teeth to get that ball rolling.
Thanks to you for highlighting this!Originally Posted by Bone_Frog Go to original post
