    Cosmetics

Ok so last night I thought I'd treat myself to buying some clothing from the store, however my excitement was short lived when I saw what you were selling.

Most of the items in the store are hideous, If i wanted to look like an individual travelling the world "trying to find himself" I'd be borrowing those said clothes of a mate of mine.

However if i wanted to rock up to battle looking like a sodding hippie radiating "I hug trees" this wouldn't be an issue, my character looks pretty macho no doubt about that, so I don't think the clothes match the look I'm trying to achieve.

To be fair he did look macho, until the recent character bug whereby he now has eye liner but that's another subject I'm yet to address.

    Lets think logical about this,

If you were a civilian in Washington DC and you had to choose between the Black Tusk or some tree hugging hippie with eye liner to save you, who would you choose?

I'd straight up go with Black Tusk, why? because they look bad-*** not only that but they have robot doggos for christ sake..

Look all I'm saying is can you add some cool looking **** in the store so I can spend some money please.

    Regards

    - The sort of macho, wearing eye liner, trying not to be a hippie whilst I kick *** guy.

p.s the Outcast faction looks better then me and they're scrubs.

You aquire all those items in vanity caches. You can earn them by playing.
But, yeah, I was disappointed compared to TD1.

Also where are the gear dyes?

I can let them slide a bit on the outfit selection since the game is still new. I'm sure they're working on tons of new cosmetic looks. My gripe is the lack of darker freaking colors in the selection you do get. In theory my character wants to be as invisible as possible, even thought the f---ed up enemy AI sees to that I'm never stealthy. I at least pretend to be.

Where's all the earthen colors. Or black and greys. The only cool shirt I liked at the creation is bright freakin' blue and white checkered. LOL!

I like some outfits that hide your body armor, and that is very good to have for a change, but there is not much in the game and they are nothing special. So its weary sad that we don't have more. I has division jacket from shield that I got, and I think for now is the best clothing that we can have in the game...and we need more in that direction.

You can find different dyes in orange crates that can sometimes be found perched in precarious positions. Shoot them to have them open and drop their contents.

How do you all generally feel about the rate of different cosmetic drops? Are there enough customization options? How do you feel your character reflects the look you want them to have?

I've probably ran past so many of those orange crates to be fair, will hunt for some tonight.

I think the drop rate is fine I've picked up several items without even farming for cosmetics, my concern is the cosmetics I pick up aren't giving me the wow factor. I'm still wearing the same gear I had on when I started, well besides the shirt.

it'll be good to bring in some cosmetic styling from Division 1, not exactly the same but similar style.

i think the drop rates are fine there just needs to be more cosmetics available; more clothes, more skins, different color variations, etc

the whole point of cosmetics is to individualize your agent, the less actual options there are the less this is possible

I feel like the drops are a little low, especially since many of the items have been underwhelming so far. I'm about 9 hours in, and I'm still wearing the starter outfit. Personally I'd like to see a bit more. The dress up is important

The drop rates for ingame items are great, just the right amount so that you're happy to see them. I remember with TD1 they were too common, even NPCs dropped them. I'm happy to let the ingame selection evolve. I did find the UE cosmetics and the current round of Premium items to be lacking, compared to TD1 (particularly the UE cosmetics). There were great sets available in the PSStore last time.
This is what I had in the first day of TD1 (over and above ingame).

The UE bonuses just weren't nearly as awesome this time around. I picked up the marine forces outfit pack in the first week last time too. I wanted to see a full law enforcement pack, FBI, Secret Service, DEA, etc... in the UE. My main character in TD1 used that Division beanie for almost the entire 3 years. It was in the special edition's survivor set. We need some Division items ingame. I want a ball hat for sure!

I know that loads more stuff is coming though

I found the drops picked up when I started to get into the level 15+ areas of the map.
