I'd Like to See a Transgender Operator

As a transgender woman, I'd like to see an operator who not only lives outside the gender binary, but who uses their gender expression as a gameplay device. I have an idea; it's rough, but I think workable.

    Name: Monique D'Coeur
    Nickname: Canary
Date of Birth: September 23 - (Age 30)
Place of Birth: New Orleans, USA
CTU: US Army Intelligence Support Activity

Gadget: Canary can 'throw' her voice, leaving a decoy outline (the white profile indicating teammates' locations when they're out of sight) of one of the other team's operators. She'll match the operator's voice, and the decoy would have all the real operator's equipment. This ruse may bait players into entering an area, thinking they have support when they don't. They can then be ambushed while alone and vulnerable. The existence of a duplicate profile would confuse the opposing team, leaving them wondering what their teammates' true locations are.

Background: D'Coeur was born with the name Marcel, and raised as a boy by a single mother in the Mississippi River Delta. She excelled in cross country and demonstrated an aptitude for language from an early age. While she proved popular and well-liked by her peers, she never told anyone about her gender dysphoria.

After graduating high school, the recession hit the Delta hard. To support her mother, D'Coeur enlisted in the US Air Force, where she worked in intelligence. After two tours in South Asia, she retired. Upon returning to civilian life, D'Coeur came out as transgender. Unfortunately, the economic recovery came slowly to her area, and D'Coeur had difficulty finding employment. Luckily, a former commander from the intelligence community negotiated a position for her in the ISA.

D'Coeur frequently cooperated with operator Thorn (Maverick) in Kabul, infiltrating terrorist cells and opium distributors. The two have bonded over a shared love of foreign languages, and the often lonely experience of intelligence work. Each considers the other to be one of their few true friends. She's also engaged in academic discussions with operator Estrata (Pulse) over the psychology of negotiation. D'Coeur has vocally disapproved of operator Pereira's use of threats and torture on captured hostiles, preferring the use of persuasion and negotiation over force. This relationship should be carefully monitored.

Psychological Profile: Tests have shown D'Coeur to have a very high Emotional Quotient. Seeing others suffer motivates her. Having spent her childhood living as someone she wasn't, D'Coeur has mastered the arts of charm, deception, and impersonation. She can play both masculine and feminine roles during covert operations. These qualities combine to make her the perfect spy.

Since transitioning, she's felt she can truly be herself. She has a talent for getting others to feel calm and trusting. Even those who've never met a transgender person quickly feel comfortable around her. Her sense of humor and capacity for impressions have been a lighthearted addition to the Rainbow team.

    Training:
    USAF Intelligence Officer
    ISA Operative

    Relevant Experience:
    Operation Panther's Claw
    Operation Dragon Strike
    Khyber Border Coordination Center

    Notes:
Fluent in Haitian Creole, English, Dari, Pashto, and Urdu

I see a few problems with the 'voice throw' gadget:
    1. Its usefulness would disappear if only one operator remained on the opposing team.
    2. It wouldn't be very effective in high level play with well-coordinated teams.
    3. The decoy would be stationary, so an attentive player would be able to distinguish between it and the real thing.
    4. I suppose the decoy outline would disappear, at least for that player, once they 'saw' it, as the operator would realize it's fake.

    Possibilities:
    1. Canary could throw her voice herself, or have an electronic device which can be placed. The device would be vicinity activated by the opposing team, or be remote activated by the player.
    2. The decoy could be temporary or permanent.
    3. The decoy could apply to every member of the opposing team, regardless of their location on the map, or only to players within a certain range of the decoy.
    4. The decoy could take whatever stance the real operator is taking when the decoy is created (e.g. if the operator is crouched, aiming, and leaning, so would the decoy), or could have a default stance for all uses.

All I'm saying is that we've had 46 cisgender operators, and it would be nice to be able to play as a character who's like me. I know a lot of transgender players, and I'm sure they feel the same way. LGBT people exist, and we really appreciate when the gaming industry gives us the chance to see ourselves in their work.

although i dont see the point your response is absolutely stupid that is like saying keep straights out of games come on man not every game has to have a straight person in it. If you really don't care then don't care. If you are anti then be anti but don't try to play this middle of the road ****. If it truly doesn't matter then stop saying don't put it in . If it matters to you admit it.

Politicization of video games fixes nothing

Sorry, but the community doesn't want to start any drama by adding controversial operators into the game. I know it may your feelings that there is no trans operators in the game, but to be real with you, no real life military allows trans people in them. I know this might make you upset, but this is the truth.

Actually, a number of countries allow transgender service people. Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Spain, the UK, and by default Brazil, all do. Besides, even if this weren't the case, should that matter? The point of video games is that we can escape the confines of our lives and become someone else. There's no Rainbow Six in real life, but that doesn't stop us from taking on the role through this game.

I would also dispute your assertion that including a transgender operator would be controversial. We've had an operator from Israel, one who tortures people, two who uses chemical weapons, and one whose background involves abortion. All these issues are controversial, but they're still included in the game.

I know the topic of transgender people might feel strange. There aren't that many of us, and visibility of our community is very young. That's why I try to educate as many people as I can. But there's a significant community of transgender gamers who would love to see an operator like them. Is avoiding this subject entirely worth denying us the ability to feel included in the games we love? Would having a transgender character in a game you play really be so terrible that you'd stop others from enjoying the game a little more?

yeah but america loves the israelites because they give up their land for america's military build american weapons and america protects them both in the way that christians think they are special and america doesn't want to lose a mililtary hold. Out side of that there isnt any reason for anyone to pay anymore attention to them than any other country

Once again, I quote a wise man who asked the right question when faced with something similar to this post

"Is this an out-of-date April Fools joke?"

*edit* I realized I was being toxic with this post, so I'd like to apologize now. You can thank the trolls who ruined my last 20 Terrorist Hunt matches for that. So let's start over...

I like the idea for that character, I think HE or SHE could make an interesting operator. I am just sick of SJW crap and transgender mania.

We are not talking about people who dress up as the members of the opposite sex for the sake of fun, entertainment or sexual arousal. If that was the case, even Tachanka could wear high heels in his spare time and still be the best operator ever. We are talking about people who are classified as mentally ill (gender dysphoria). People classified as mentally ill are not fit for military service, period.

Siege has so many awesome female operators, you'd think feminists and SJWs would praise it (not that I give a s*** if they praise it or not). But now they want TRANSGENDER operator?! What's next, going full Battlefield 5?

We have Gridlock, who is a 100% butch. We have Valkyrie, who is clearly a lesbian. Not to mention many other female operators who are possibly lesbians (let's face it, military girls are always suspicious), or fit countless other stereotypes. But NONE of that makes them unfit for military service or career in special forces. At least in Clancy universe, as far as I know, in real life there are currently no female special forces operators who serve on the frontlines (doing door kicking and bang-bang stuff).

Being transgender, however, would make them unfit. It's not just me saying that, it's me AND every army in the world. I have nothing against transgender people, but they are NOT fit for military service, not in any way, not in any country, not in any universe, including Clancy's.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe there already is a transgender operator in the game. Its just not mentioned because they now identify as the other gender so that's what they're labelled as, and its not made a big deal of or mention because it doesn't need to be as they are just a person with nothing actually different.
