"You're going into the DZ to PVE in order to get this gear. You're doing the exact same thing in the Raid." There is PVP in the raids?

Literally said going to the DZ to PVE.

The way I see it is the Dark Zone should have Dark Zone only gear it's fair there is gear everywhere else and there is going to be Raid only gear I presume.

So why not Dark Zone gear for those who want or might go in to get it, I think the LZ and P v E has enough to be getting on with so the devs should give a bit of focus to the 3 dark zones.

On a personal point nothing will get me to go in, lock all the exotics in the Dz I still wouldn't go in, just not my cup of tea.

ATM i'm in World tier 3 and I haven't even unlocked or done the Dark Zone story mission, and I doubt I ever will because i'm never going in it, so I don't need to unlock it.

If I was a Dev I would wait and see. Check the numbers after a while. While put resources developing for a area with fewer players than they expected . The numbers are low in the DZ as there are few PVE players going in their. The changes being suggested in here are not going to change that.

The vast majority of the marketing / focus for the game up to a few weeks before release was so obviously PVP DZ related. It’s the Devs little baby which they love but many who don’t want forced PvP do not. Time will tell if the numbers improve in the DZs. If they stay low one of them should at least be repurposed for ‘other’ players to use

I've had someone ask me something the other day along the lines of "how's PVP in the DZ? When I went in there, it was empty."

I told him, "everyone is probably in the occupied DZ"

He then said "that's where I was lol"

I was in Butter's stream recently where a conversation took place about the DZ and how the much needed LZ buff took eyes off the DZ. Right now, you can loot up without ever going into the DZ. There is an overwhelming amount of activities to do in the LZ, and honestly, something like this needed to happen because of what the LZ ended up being in Division 1. It's an ample change for players who do not like the possibility of PVP in the DZ (not to mention the straight to inventory change), even a change I and many others were likely the reason why it happened. You might not see my name there because of some account issues, but yeah twas I who begun that thread.

However, the DZ is pretty empty. I've even had moments where I asked myself "am I the only one in here?" No extractions where going off, landmarks were always up. It could be because we are in world tier 4 and world tier 5 could really be where players go back into the DZ, but that's me giving the benefit of the doubt.

With the LZ getting the changes it so desperately needed, I think it is safe to incentivize the DZ again. And the answer to that lies within Exotic gear.

What has to happen, in my opinion, is for the DZ to gain its own exclusive exotic loot pool, and even its own exclusive gear set loot pool. This has to happen in order to incentivize the DZ again. Assuming they will follow Division 1, Exotics are a 1% drop. It is a hardcore chase that is kind to some, and harsh to others, but the drop rate will bring players in the DZ and for much longer, ultimately populating it again, without really turning the light zone into Division 1's light zone.

Sorry PVErs who do not venture in the DZ, but this has to happen, or the DZ will not be used (inb4 those who enjoy seeing it burned). Some of you may already know, but I've brought this up in the past. Exclusive gear has been confirmed for the Raid (check the raid tab in the Social menu), and now I think the same could be done for the DZ.

Like someone said, the DZ should stand in its own fun merit. If players don't find it fun, why should they be forced to participate?

If DZ isn't about PvP why is there a DZ with it on by default atm? Its a area for griefing nothing more. Like the first game it should been made into an open raid style content but they kept pushing PvP angle onto the game.

WoW had the same problems those crying for world PvP to come back, but don't like arena or battlegrounds you know where the teams are even in numbers, its all about wanting to gank players.

If you need to have 3 buddies at every time you enter the zone then the mode has problems.

To me as a pure PvE player, what you are suggesting doesn't appear to be an "incentive" , its actually bait...
what you seem to want is a way to bait people into a zone that has a pvp, while they are only chasing some exotic. that is where Div1 ( to me personally) failed.
gating something i wanted behind an activity/area that i did not want to do, which is why i ( personally) stopped playing.

i actually don't mind the idea of having exclusive drops in the dz, but if they did that they should make it so those drops can only be used in the dz so pvers aren't forced to enter the dz to get that "super op" piece of equipment.

i personally love seeing the post about the DZ being dead. Most people only went in the first one to PVE with the hopes of never having to pvp in the first place. If you have to add an incentive to get people to go in there then its just not a good part of the game IMO.

Nope, people who do not want to ever set foot in the dz will be pissed as they will be forced to go there, so it will not happen.
