    Terrible Stuttering and Hitching problems

I've played about roughly 4 hours of The Division 2 and i'm enjoying it so far, but i'm having MAJOR issues with stuttering and hitching while playing.

Here are my specs for reference:
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6402P CPU @ 2.80GHz
    GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
    8.0 GB RAM
    Running on Windows 10

I'm not having any issues with actual frames, I consistently get around 50 to 60 while playing on fullscreen 1920*1080 on medium to high settings.

My main problem is that my game will have these random fits of nonstop stuttering for several seconds on end, back to back. This happens A LOT when i'm entering a new area or start to engage in combat, but sometimes it happens when i'm just free roaming and there's nothing going on. It's incredibly frustrating as it makes it nearly impossible to aim straight during combat and sometimes it gets so bad that the game will freeze for a few seconds, but in the background, the enemies are still shooting at me while i'm unable to defend myself because I have to wait for my game to catch up.

I've had the same exact thing happen to me on the original Division as well, although it wasn't nearly as bad or as frequent, it happened to me multiple times on this same computer. The Division 1 and 2 are the only games that i've had this stuttering issue with, no other game i've played does this.

I tried lowering my resolution and running in window mode but that didn't seem to do anything. I'm also not using DX12.

I read on another forum that RAM could be the issue since it's recommended that I have 16 GB when i only have 8, but I thought RAM wasn't a major factor when it comes to performance on PC games that much.

Any help would be gladly appreciated, I'm liking what I've played but I can barely get it to run smoothly and that's really holding me back at the moment.

We're all in the same boat my friend. It's listed in the Known Issues thread so they're aware of it but the fact they've been "investigating" it for 3 days now with no improvements at all is a bit frustrating. All we can do is hope for a patch soon.

Well, let me crush one of your worries at least. It's not your RAM.
I have 32GB of RAM and it's still doing it.

Glad they're working on it but what I want to know is if PC players in the beta saw this kind of hickup skipping performance. Gsync seems to be broken as well which might be part of the stuttering issue to begin with. Here's hoping for a quick fix.

Also its not a CPU issue I think, I saw bunch of people having this issue with intel processors and here I am sitting with Ryzen 5 1500x and having exact same problems. Looking forward for a solution.

Hello, kx79. While our team is aware of FPS issues and are working on them as a high priority, to the best of my knowledge the team is not aware of a link between these issues and the audio issues with Logitech headsets. Please elaborate on what you're seeing and what worked to resolve your issue.

As a general question, is this issue predominately happening during an interval after entering into a new area?
