    Dear Dev Team

    After a near an year and a half on this game, a conclusion has came to me.

    You're not bad at balancing, you're terrible. I mean, if you 're not the worst, you probably not far away.
    This game have so many balance issue that it's hard to list them without making it boring, and half of the time you already made a change, it was a fail.

    The first think you should do, is listen your community way more, they understand this game in a way you actually don't (I can't imagine an other possibility, because that would mean you're doing such bad thing on purpose). A good exemple is the nerf of the Ninjew : we were asking for a big nerf just weeks after the big balance, and it take you MONTHS to make a little nerf. And you just totally ignore all the others demands.
    If that's not a proof that you're terrible at balancing, I'don't kwow what it is.

    You have to remember that this is a game. And if you could object that because this is a game and I should not be aggressive, I would reply that players user the app to have good time, not to be frustrated because the dev team doesn't know how to balance a game.

    So, when are you gonna nerf the two card that need a BIG NERF : Blood Elf BB and Timmy Pope ?! Those two card need a nerf like no other.

    The first justify by itself to use the fantasy deck, and it's a COMMON card ! It's one of the most played card for those who don't have medusa BB at level 3 or 4.
    Basicaly, you need to reduce her base HP and her attack. And not just a bit ! A BIG NERF ! At level 6, she hit way harder than the rare Wendys, it's absolutely insane.

    For the second, it's a bit more complex. Months ago, it was useless because the most valuable cards were common assassins. So you lowered the cost, and at the time it wasn't stupid. But after the big balance, it become insane to keep it that way.
    For start, you have to slow his warcry by a factor 2. Today, even if you know that the opposent is gonna play it, and even if you have your spell ready to kill it, it often won't be enough to kill it before the warcry is activated.
    And you have to give it back its old cost (7). The card will still be OP, and will still have a lot a lot to offer.


    But, that's not the end of it.
    The all mystical deck is a joke because it's so much OP. The basic tactic of mystical is to make opponent to play in your side. For that, they have a lot of card to gain time : Zen Cartman, energy staff, Butters and Kenny that force the opponent to defend for a low cost, and obvioulsy, Timmy Pope.
    And when the opponent is in you're side, it's easy peasy : they are legends that have way to many HP, spell to heal your creature, and the best counter spell.

    Just to make it obvious : let's list spell from other deck and see what it does to mystical.

    Adventure :
    - Arrowstorm : if it's not for the two assassins, mystical just don't care about this epic spell. A three energy spell will cure that, or the 3 creature will do it in matter of seconds.
    - Firewall : most of mystical card won't even lost half ot their HP, why bother to use this 5 energy card ?
    - lightning bolt : at level 5, it's not enough to kill BB or Token. So basically, it will be used to kill creature that cost less that it'sown cost.

    Sci-fi :
    - Freeze Ray : lol. So many HP, it's just a lost of energy.
    - Hyperdrive : the same. The tank and creature will endure without trouble.
    - Mind control : purify. And if you don't have it, no problem. Mystical cards are slow and have a lot of HP. You won't probably lose a card, and you're gonna be able to cure all of them (And don't forget that Medusa BB is not affected by Cyborg Kenny).
    - Poison : LOL ! So many HP, so many way to get the HP back,

    Fantasy :
    - Chicken coop : even if this card is way to much op, Mystical doesn't care. The legend will fest with the ****, and waiting in its own side is what mystical is the best.
    - **** magic : actually, the only spell that can do somethings against mystical. But it's not easy to play.
    - Transmogrify : This card is just the "Unholy combustion" of the poor.

    So basicaly, mystical will play its game, whatever the opponent is doing. It's the only deck to not fear the other deck spell. And that's without counting on Youth Pastor Craig and his insane warcry of 30 sec ! (please, lower it to 5 or 10 sec max!)


    To close the message (sorry, that was not a love letter, but I think you need to read it), a quick return of other balance change you've made.
    - BHK is now killable with arrowstorm and is useless. And he can't know take a phone to a NK by himself. Please, give him back his HP or his attack.
    - Le Bard Jimmy : ARE YOU CRAZY ? At level 6, it's now a arrowstorm, and kill all assassins for 4 ernergy, and you still have him in game. Reduce by half his warcry !

    And would you mind to finally give a real boost to Gizmo Ike, Inuit Kenny, and nerf Youth Paster Craig, Rogue Token and Chicken coop ?


    And again, please stop thinking you did a good job during the previous game balance. You did'nt.

    Completely agree with this post. Did spend a post on this in another thread aswell (BHK nerf thread)

    Change the philosophy of nerfing/buffing. We see in the dev update a list of cards which will get attention for either buffing/nerfing.
    It should be on theme level. Some themes have way too much abilities and other themes don't have any answers anymore, cause of the changes you made.

    Zanzarspiritx did a pretty good job summing up the issues here.

    I agree and disagree with the rest of your post. I wouldn't nerf any of the fantasy cards you've listed. For example bloodelf, she is good, but not OP, this theme needs her and some of the cards you've listed of that theme, to make up for the ever lasting unbalance against mystic combos. Developers seem to forget that they boosted some mystic cards prior the big balance update last summer where every epic and legendary were given equal buffs, that makes things easier for them and they thought was the safest move back then. What they forgot is that prior that balance update they gave buffs to Pope and Witch Doctor Token, and that's why he's so hard to deal with at Lv3, as you've noted, doesn't die to an equal cost card like lightning. At the same time, prior last summer big balance update, they crippled two important fantasy cards, stan the great and princess kenny, they ended up being sent up to oblivion afterwards. So I don't think they should nerf any of the fantasy cards you've listed there, because keep in mind Redlynx doesn't normally make big balance updates, it's usually a handful of cards so they would end crippling the whole theme.

    They've tried to give small nerfs to mystic but they are innefective to bring any balance. It's difficult to balance because they have access to removal spells, support spells and spell protection. In general, there shouldn't be any spell that affects the whole field, they should be AOE limitted, including cards like hyperdrive. I understand they may desire some unbalance to take advantage of their offers, but they should make a bigger effort to balance some things, because lacking that client side doesn't help at all. People doesn't notice but double-hits can happen with every unit in the game, not just Timmy's, but most people won't notice they've received two consecutive melee blows or two consecutive tiny projectiles. So these bugs can make an even bigger difference with the unbalance.

    BE is OP.... all people do now is play BE 6, you cant use assassins, because they feed it easy, they use **** magic, again feeds it.... transmorg... feeds it, swarms feed it, Medusa snakes... oh yea feed it, it is force removal I would rather be using on amazingly randy, which is again getting annoying because any time you get near.... oh yea they play rogue token (which makes things picked off by... BE -_-)

    I would hate to be a developer.

    But everything in this post can be summarized by two things.

    1. Health imbalances are huge between the different factions.

    2. Primarily because of the damage spells (arrowstorm, lightning especially, but also fireball) the health differences make all the difference.

    Also, does Unholy Combustion affect invulnerable units. Because I certainly had fun this weekend transmogrifying invulnerable Dougies

    Are you insane ? Not OP? She's the most long range card played by user who don't have Medusa BB.
    She don't fear ArrowStorm, Poison, she hit way too hard (@level 6, she deal 60 damage more than pirate wendy), it's one of the only card that actually become better the longer she stay in play, and for aventure, you need to spend at least 4 energy to kill it, AND IT'S A FREAKING COMMON !

    It's not because mystical is unbalanced that other card should be unbalanced too..

    This post is pretty on point. The HP disparity is a lot to overcome. Mystic is clearly head and shoulders above all other themes, especially sci-fi and adventure. They get shat on constantly. 4AM and Drone are laughable. And then drone gets nerfed? I want whatever you’re smoking because it has to be some primo.

    Balancing is difficult, no doubt. However, you aren’t blind and you aren’t stupid. You’re an intelligent, educated group. So I really don’t understand why you’re ignoring the statistics. Obviously I don’t have the stats, but I can say with confidence that mystic and fantasy have to be the most commonly played legendary cards. The only legend outside of the mystic-fantasy powerhouse that may compete statistically is SOMM.

    Use the statistics, player feedback and your experiences (I’m assuming you have at least a handful on your team that play as one of us...and if not, you should) to drive the balancing. Take the most commonly played cards and bump them down. Take the longest lasting cards per class and bump their HP down. Take the least used cards and enhance their abilities. Shaman and Sharon need some love, for example.

    It’s going to take a lot of trial and error, but power through it. I’m sure if you asked for help, there’s plenty of players like me that would offer assistance.

    You just happened to compare her damage to a card that has a useful damaging charge ability, so of course her attack couldn't be as high for that reason. Also, do you realize the fallacy of your logic by admitting that mystic is unbalanced? (of course you do because you covered the mystic OPness) If so, she's indeed acting as an equaliser due the existing unbalance from the mystic theme, as simple as that.

    BE is easy, just play it behind NK, or a tank, pick off assassins get stupid health, become better then dusa within a few kills. it needs toning down. the entire theme is a joke, got amazingly randy in a similar position, very hard to kill that, especially as you just play coop, and those are the only things targeted.
