Will Uni of Trials tutorials be unlocked from behind Xp wall?

I am asking this on behalf of some friends who are new to Trials (Rising being their 1st Trials game) and they do make a fair point, imo.

They made a start and curiosity over other people's quicker times lead them to leaderboards. After then watching a veteran rider's replay on Braking Bad on the Rhino, whereby, techniques like the Bunny Hop, Backwheel Bounce etc are all used. My friends then resorted to watching a youtube video to learn these things, thus, making the latter in-game tutorials something of a pointless exercise. They also raised questions as to there being no flipping tutorial, given that in-game contracts require that a lot with veteran riders frequently doing flips to clear obstacles quickly during replays.

Additionaly, looking back through Rising's tracks a lot of the early track timesavers do require the advanced techniques to get past, way before the tutorials for them become available. .

Should people have to resort to watching training videos because lessons they need aren't readily accessible in the game?

On a personal note, there are no tutorials for more advanced techniques need for the extreme tracks. I appreciate people do have to learn somethings on their own but some of the stuff required wouldn't even be thought of. I started on Fusion and have a general gist of things, even so, I've had to resort to videos for somethings.

I think the idea behind this was: Learn and apply the skills in the next levels. Most beginners are not going to try to get a "perfect" time in the beginning. If all tutorials would be available up front, a lot of people would forget what they learned quickly if they don't need to or simply can't apply those skills since they don't have the tracks yet.

For flipping: Do you really need a tutorial for that? I think every new player will learn how to flip his bike into both directions in the first track. Kinda forced

But I'm completely with you on the advanced topic. There's some stuff missing you have to figure out by yourself when advancing to the extremes. On the other hand: If you've come so far you'll figure that out by yourself. And, at least for me, this is part of the process. Crash & learn.

Yeah bud, I totally understand the staggered learning system.

In all fairness though and as my friend pointed out. It takes control away from the player and doesn't allow them to learn at their own pace and just get on with the game how they want to. It also assumes that once players have these new skills they are going to want to go back and re-run the courses instead of just progressing forward.

Like me, they're in their 40's and old skool gamers who hate games that dictate or baby a player, they'd rather learn and move on, not have to learn halfway through a game.

Whatever the stance on this, with replays and so many youtube videos being available players can easily learn everything they need before getting to it in the game.

With flipping not personally, but it's not an immediate thought for everyone; I've had to explain why people throw flips for reasons other than looking cool.

Yeah, it would just be nice to have a few pointers though... letting go of lean to clear an overhang. Had I have not seen FatShady's video for 'Way of the Machine' That flip where the backwheel is used to grip needed on Inferno 5 checkpoint 4 -5.. I'd never got that on my own.
