I have the same problem and I'm not seeing a way to specify that mission to matchmake for it.

I don't think @Ubi-Bandicoot or the other mods play the game as the solution to the work site community mission bug was also to match make, which you can't do on side quests...

I also couldn't get that shd tech until I picked a bounty that was in that block. Try selecting bounties in that district until one is in the right area.

the fact we have to either A: hope one of our buddies hasnt done that side mission yet, or B: play russian roulette with the bounties, is why most of us are upset. its marked on the map, every shd tech cache has been reachable outside of a mission, and has been in a rather blatant and DIFFICULT to miss place...EXCEPT for THIS one...

not only can we not get to it outside of a mission..I didnt even see the cache during the course of the mission.

Really hope this is fixed in tomorrows patch, only need 1 more SHD and that one is the only one left.

Is that the one in downtown west? It's not possible to get it unless you do a bounty in that area (there's also a side mission there) but you can just start a bounty over and over in that area until you get the location that spawns there (it doesn't cost any target intel starting over and over) it will let you get access to the area with the cache. It's what I had to do. If it isnt in Downtown West then disregard everything ive just said

completely missed the point there..

the shd tech caches that are marked on the map, the ones WITHOUT a side mission icon underneath them, are ones that you're SUPPOSED to be able to get to without any special pre requisites, as is the case with every other similarly marked cache..WITHOUT a side mission icon underneath it, has been relatively straight forward to get to and reach. this one..is quite literally held hostage by a MISSING rappelling line, and just so happens to be in an area where a side mission takes place, yet...the cache icon is missing one detail...NO side mission ICON underneath it.

further, I remember the side mission that took place in the construction site, the cache icon wasnt on the map at the time, and there was no hud marker and more importantly..no means to get up there to DROP the rappelling line in the first place. at no point during the mission were we led up that high.

how many people have stood there in the construction site, blowing through multiple sniper rifle magazines, pulling the equivilant of throwing rocks at the goddanged thing?

I'm quite literally understanding pierce brosnan's point in the movie dante's peak at this point...you know, the scene where they're on the mouth of the mountain, and spider legs gimps out, and they're reduced to and I quote, sitting there throwing rocks at the goddanged thing?

after today's BIG content release/patch..there is STILL no way to get to this particular shd tech cache.

This was the only what that I was able to access this area again. There is a bounty in the Downtown West Area, "Strike Team Echelon" to be exact, that let me access this area again. Even though I picked up the SHD Tech the first time playing the side mission in this area, doing the bounty let me access it once again.
If you don't want the trouble in trying to get the bounty to spawn in this area, here is another post I found to be very helpful as it provides 4 hidden locations to SHD Tech on the map.
