    Is it just me or....

Is the Mantis not as effective on extreme/ninja tracks as its predecessor (Viper on Fusion, Phoenix on Evo, etc)? It handles greatly when speedrunnin the med/hard tracks but when it comes to inferno or any of the ninja tracks, one thing stood out for me was it doesn't handle steep will climbs the same. Last night I got 105f on Inferno when I finally unlocked it (yea I know, im a casual scrub now) and played it again, still 100+ faults then a good friend of mine, yall might know him as PuRple oOzi, told me to get on the BMX and I passed Inferno 5 with only 6 faults. Cant help but think if this was intentional, or maybe the game secretly trying to get us to utilize other bikes with tracks made for that purpose, I don't know. Granted I stopped playin Fusion only a few months after it was released so its been years since ive been on the bike but something just seems different bout the Mantis handling extreme/ninjas, but id love to know what you guys think.

Same here. Over 100 faults on inferno with the mantis with a couple attempts. Most were at the jump from the porta toilet to the tires and then that final climb. I tried with the bmx and 5 or 6 faults first try. Seems the track is designed with the helium in mind.... or I just suck with the mantis

Personally I think that the bike's acceleration feels better, which has helped me with wall climbing and may be why I've enjoyed speed running with the Mantis. But just about any other aspect of the Mantis feels inferior to the Pit Viper. Suspension feels like it bottoms out. I'm sure braking is different as well.

I also stopped playing Trials for a while before coming back to play Rising so maybe I am remembering the bike physics differently to how they actually were and I just suck now. Idk.

I did 0 fault Inferno V with the Helium and I feel really dirty about it. That bike is overpowered.

I do like the acceleration of the Mantis, and the grip you get on walls, even better than the Pit Viper. But other than that the bike feels too heavy and sluggish (rotation) and the front suspension is WAY too stiff (just try and to a fw bounce). The rear suspension is kind of hit & miss, I like that it handles bw bounces good because it's stiffer than the Pit Viper, but it's hard to get much height on stationary bunnyhops because it's so stiff.

Because of the Mantis' stiff front and rear suspension, it's hard to stick to walls unless you already have a lot of upward momentum, it's easy to just bounce off. Once you do stick, then it's good though.

Another technique that illustrates this is what I think is called a wheel transfer: it's where you're in a fender grab, then lean forward and accelerate to rotate forward, then back and brake then lean forward again to switch from your back wheel to front wheel, commonly used on pillars. On the Pit Viper this was easy because of it's light weight, but on the Mantis, it is so heavy that you can barely get the rotation needed.

Also "Flapping" is like 20% of what it was in Fusion, presumably because of the Mantis' heavy weight.
