A question for the creator(s) who created today's solo challenge #3

    Today's challenge was:

"In Extreme mode and using only vehicle weapons, deploy to Espiritu Santo Alpha then complete the mission 'Soldiers of Santa Muerte'."

My question to you, the creator(s) who created this solo challenge, is: If your job was at stake, and you had to successfully complete that challenge in one go, and truly use only those vehicle weapons without any sort of cheesing or workarounds, in order to keep your job, would you still submit challenge #3 as part of our solo challenges?

My bet is that you'd most likely say something like "Absolutely not!" or maybe "Are you outta your friggin' mind!"

I bet that'd be the answer for the Watchman challenge too.

Please keep it real and maybe test the challenges out, in the order you post them, before you present them to us. If they wouldn't be good or fun for you, then why give them to us? Isn't it a wonder that we have threads out there like "Daily challenges - fun or no fun?" instead of "Man, these daily challenges are effen awesome!"?

Maybe start creating challenges in the vein of the ways this game is (or was) meant to be played, as opposed to approaching it from the angle of mozzarella, asiago, brie, feta, and many more assortments of cheese.

For the **** I give them I gotta admit, there are only so many challenges you can do before you need to Rinse and Repeat and then Repeat and Rinse.

Where did you guys do the first one? I get one and then when I move away to do the other captain, the countdown starts again. Even if I redeploy I lose my count.

At the el Chido mission site in Malca. No need to do the actual mission, as the captains are there without el Chido and crowd.

At first I thought killing all of Santera’s Sicarios using vehicle weapons would be a nightmare, but on an off chance I tried the rocket chopper and that worked. I was done in 10 minutes.

However, I get and agree with the point of the issue here which is that the challenges really force a style of play that is in direct opposition to the strengths and intent of the game. It’s really unfortunate.

I guess back in the day these challenges were intended to get players to explore alternate ways of tackling missions, but some are so unconventional, they are silly. I think challenges where you can’t be seen, hurt, killed, or other constraints that encourage stealth are more appropriate, but the problem is, they often combine these constraints with missions that are defensive and loud and non stealth by design which is totally insane.

I used an apache. Just shot them with rockets. Had one fail because civilians kept wandering in. Other than that it was fairly easy.

I also went that route - given the bodies remained made for some interesting selection of who, and when to pop the various targets.
