    Farcry new Dawn

I am having some pretty bad frame drops and stutter with new dawn at the moment.
Playing at 120hrz I am usually getting above 60 fps on ultra settings and most of the time I'm in the 70 - 90 region.
The problem is that the game for some reason goes from 80 to 74 to 67 to 80 to 74 etc. Which is causing pretty annoying hitching.
The only thing I can put it down to is a dust effect which is not present in farcry 5 which runs perfectly for me.
Wondering if anyone else has this issue?

Sorry to say this, but this is not something they are going to fix. Many of us have complained that there is a hitching/stuttering issue, yet Ubisoft have completely ignored us, even if we gave them the help they needed in order to solve the problem. I was told it would be fixed after handing them out my DXDIAG files, but lo behold, if you read their 'issues known' list, they list the stutter but have clearly stated they will not fix the problem as the problem is with US, and not with them. Apparently our slow computers cannot cope with the data being streamed between hard drive and graphics card/ram. I would just steer clear of Ubisoft games as they are a joke. What makes it funnier is that this is not the first game where this has happened. Its a known pattern with these clowns to release games and not fix them as they care more about revenue than actual game experiences.

I have said this in other posts about stuttering. Lower your main graphics settings. I had the stutters and lockups and when I checked the graphics settings they were on Ultra by default. Changed them to high and now the game runs with no stutter. My system a 6-year-old Intel i5 2500K 16gb of ram a brand new GTX 160 6gb card running Windows 10 Home 64 bit. Check that the VRAM gauge is not in the red but is grey. Give it a try it may work and it may not. Another thing you can try if you have it on is to turn off HD Graphics.

Also, uninstall the HD Textures pack if you have it installed.
You haven't told us your specs, but the HD Textures pack is for very high-end PCs.
