I really don't like the magnetic wheels. They make the physics of the game feel artificial, and they feel very inconsistent at times. They make it very annoying to move your bike away from a wall when rolling backwards to save your self, and they have basically completely killed a large number of obstacles in the back wheel only category of track.Originally Posted by giantmoosefan Go to original post
As for making walls easier to climb, this is only somewhat true, and i will also argue that making it "easier" isn't necessarily a good thing anyway. Making throttle easy simply means that its a less interesting obstacle for ninja builders, and those that do still choose to use them are forced to make walls higher, which is more tedious for riders. Most people generally don't like obstacles "on the limit" so to speak.
Now when you say that sticking to walls feels better, i actually believe that this isn't really caused by the magnetic wheels, but is actually just another result from the change in center of mass. Personally, i am finding sticking to walls a LOT harder than in fusion, most likely due to me not being used to the bike yet, but i have seen people pick up this skill a lot faster than myself, so you may just be one of those people. The "bouncing" off of walls is also most likely due to the center of mass and not the suspension also. The angles required for various connections seems a lot more strict with the mantis.
I really enjoyed the physics the pit viper had. And I know some people think it’s because we have to relearn everything on a different bike that we don’t like it. But that’s not it. You could do so much more with the pit viper. And most ninja riders would agree. I think the mantis is a great speed running bike but would love to see the pit viper for ninjas.
