The main problem is everyone's computers are different in one way or another. you may have the best processor and graphics card money can buy but the motherboard may have conflicts, you may have drivers or devices that are interfering with addresses in game? [/QUOTE]

I can run every 2018 game without a problem. Sometimes I sacrifice quality of graphics to get better perfomance but still can play everything at least on medium.
But the Division 2 is standing out with its poor perfomance. No matter if it is high/medium/low.
Please stop justifying such defective optimisation.

Lets band tofether for a fix

Hello, Friends! Unfortunately, you are likely experiencing what I am calling the CPU 100 bug. The CPU 100 bug is a bug that causes 100% utilization of your CPU, while the graphics card does not hit above 85% utilization. This bug seems to be most common on intel i5 processors, but I suspect this has to do more with the largest amount of users owning these processors, rather than disagreements with the architecture. The symptoms of this bug (the things you notice), can include a massive multitude of symptoms, including low FPS, stuttering, frame drops, huge variation in FPS, lag/mini-freezes, and last but not least, the “freeze of death” where the game freezes, and then the audio resumes but the game is completely unresponsive and must be forcequit. Lowering graphics quality seems to have very minimal impact on this issue, though it usually makes it slightly better (for instance, if you are struggling with 40 fps, moving down from Ultra preset to High preset may bump you to struggling with 50 fps.) The issue seems to be worse outdoors and/or in firefights.

IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING WITH FPS/FRAMEDROPS/STUTTERING, PLEASE CHECK FOR CPU 100.

There are a variety of workarounds and fixes I have gathered, as well as my own testing, and a compilation of affected users system specs and own testing and workarounds that I am trying to start in the megathread I have created on reddit here: https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision...al_megathread/

I think we can get this issue resolved if we help the devs help us. For a faster resolution and fix, please come over to my thread and run the test I’ve devised to see if your problem is tied to CPU 100. If it is, please follow the steps in the megathread, that is, post your system specs in the comments, and then head to the resources section for possible workarounds. Please make sure to report back on whether the workarounds worked for you or not! This will provide the devteam with a large list of affected user specs and test results, neatly organized, as well as possibly fix your issue

United we stand, divided we fall - it seems the devteam needs us, will you answer the call?

What is the point of this post really ? Trolling ?

Yeah your nickname says it all but... sigh

From Cambridge dictionary: Freeze noun (STOP) a temporary stopping of something:

The government has imposed a wage freeze/a freeze on wage increases.

Here's some graphs of what's occurring on my PC during the stuttering/freezing. Freezes are outlined in the red boxes. Ignore the large dip in the middle, that's putting the game out of focus. Only the outlined area is of significance.

Please stop justifying such defective optimisation.
I hear you SuperGachiSayan and I will hang back from now on, here's a parting gift.

    Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 17763) (17763.rs5_release.180914-1434)
    Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3820 CPU @ 3.60GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.6GHz
    Memory: 16384MB RAM
Page File: 6549MB used, 12683MB available
    DxDiag Version: 10.00.17763.0001 64bit Unicode
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
    Display Memory: 16238 MB
    Dedicated Memory: 8088 MB
    Shared Memory: 8150 MB
    Current Mode: 2560 x 1440 (32 bit) (75Hz)
    Monitor Name: AOC Q3279WG5B

The Divison 2 Settings are everything at highest settings possible DX12 and runs flawless, never crashed, only issues ever where the skills based issue

Windows is running with only the defender in the startup, nothing else. I like to keep my gaming computer clean, I have a server for daily use and testing.

All Visual C++ are up to date, so to chipset drivers etc (I use Driver Booster to check, free version then search for the drivers that will only update in the paid version)

My CPU runs at a maximum of 83% load at 63c and the graphics card get's up to around 95% load and 83c (max always any game)

The only game that taxes my system atm is Arma 3 with settings on high/ultra with view distance at 8km and in game mods running (a lot of them 500gb worth)

The Division 2 runs perfectly and i really want you guy's to know that once we can figure out what is causing the issues on each of your pc's you will understand why I speak highly all the time about the game.

Do an sfc scan on windows, a memory diagnostic run and a driver update for your chipsets, go into device manager and have a look at everything to see if there's and error icon, sometimes the processor power state management has errors and you need to manually select the right variable. There are just so many options and so many pc's out there it's going to take some work getting thing right, but when they do the last thing people are going to be saying is it's bad coding or the likes I assure you.

    Hope it helps

Please try to modify the entry ["streamer dedicated budget"] = 1024, to 64 in the config file of the graphic settings.

    Spoiler:  Show

This should significantly reduce the appearances of stutter and fps drop, at least in my case.
