    Non Rushing NPCs rushing

This is supposed to be a cover based game and yet you can't use cover because the NPCs just start rushing you and going behind you! Again we are talking about non rushers here. It completely defeats the point of it being a cover based game.

Non rushers need to be nerfed, so they aren't rushing you so much. I've died so many times I've lost track because I am taking cover like you are supposed to do only to be killed by 5 non rushing NPCs rushing up behind me

It's covered base of course, but no one says you don't have to move from cover to cover, and watch your back, and keep an eye on different spots to change cover when needed, etc... The AI is simply brilliant, it challenges you, flanks you and makes you be constantly on the move.

You just need to learn the tactics.

    lol nope

The AI is really, really dumb in this game. That's not a new thing though, most games have terrible AI. I agree that you should have to watch your back, but when enemies can spam grenades with pinpoint accuracy, can blind fire from 50m away and hit almost every shot, and can even shoot you through walls and objects on occasion, I think asking for a rushers nerf is justified.

Rushers should include; Melee enemies, Shotgun enemies, Heavy enemies.

Other than that, the other guys should get close to you but not outright behind you close enough to be able to tap you on the shoulder. Sure, let them push forward, but the moment non rushing enemies immediately make a b-line for your rear end, you know something's a bit broken.

LMAO yes all you need to do is move from cover to cov..... OH WAIT there is 5 NPCS around you and you die before you reach the other cover. Move around, again that defeats the point of a cover based game

When a pack of enemies spawns right behind me and melts me in seconds, there is no room for tactics. That is garbage game design.

This game has more than once put me in a situation that I had no hope of surviving... really fun.

I’ve kind encounter this. In my instances these non rushers are not really rushing but flanking. They even say it. The issue is is that it’s happening in hallways and rooms where the only way for them to flank is run right towards me then get behind me. It’s crap tho. Once you progress so far one red npc with an auto rifle can kill you. Then u have three of them rushing and shooting, snipers sitting back taking shots at you, being grenaded, ur crowd control and healing skills disappearing and these non rushers rushing you all at the same time. Ur dead. It’s insane. Now my hope is once they fix the skills disappearing these situations will be manageable. Although it leaves the question. Should non rusher npcs rush you to get behind(when it’s really the ai flanking you) when the environment doesn’t allow for a non rushing flank I guess you would call it.

I like the fact that the enemy works as a unit, some draw your fire while others try to flank you. The problem comes when you factor in all the other stuff that enemies can do. If a foam guy manages to sneak around your flank and foam you, you're dead. If someone sneaks up on you while you're trying to dodge grenades you're most likely dead, if a grenade actually hits you and knocks you out of cover while you're being flanked, you're dead. Are you on fire, electrocuted or confused out of your cover? Congrats on being dead! Does an armoured guy literally sprint into your cover trying to stamp on one of your skill proxies? Enjoy being forced out of cover and killed.

The only way these situations don't result in death is if they happen so late in the fight there aren't enough enemies to laser you down because the enemies all gain a super special magical accuracy boost the moment you're out of cover, so unless you can deal with the flanker before they become a big threat, you'll need to relocate, the moment you relocate the enemies all psychically know you're relocating and switch from storm trooper accuracy to Legolas accuracy in an instant as all mow you down at the same time. While I love the game AI is my biggest bugbear with it, in order for Massive to make the enemy AI somewhat competent in combat they have to make it so they obviously cheat, they know where and when you're aiming, they automatically know your location, they know if you have skills out even if they aren't in line of sight, they have complete situational awareness and while it doesn't make them unbeatable it does lead to a ton of immersion breaking situations.
