Hey, im also had this issue after login in game.
The problem is - Iam about 449 gearscore and 90 hours in game, so I REALLY don't want to start a new character, but oh gosh I want play this game with MY character, not this one. It's not even a default preset that I used to generate main character!
Not sure if it helps or not, but I have another ps4 on work, so I login in game there - and after I came home and start game - this happens
Relogin and reload console don't help, it's permanent

I have yet to make it to the barber and my character look and ethnicity is happening frequently when logging into the game after selecting my character to continue playing. The only fix is for me to leave the game to lobby and relaunch the game. This is annoying. Just like not able to select my default Division arm patch in game...

Sign me up for this too.
I logged in one morning and had to do a double take. My character had his ethnicity changed. It wasn't a direct result of a trip to the barber, although I had used the barber about a week prior to change facial hair.
There is something disconcerting about it that's hard to place. Most of the time I use a mask anyway, so who cares, right? But just having a custom designed character arbitrarily change after 40+ hours of investment... Feels wrong.
Hoping Massive fixes this.

Been patiently waiting for a fix. Why not just give the player access to a full range of customization at the Barber? That shouldn't be that hard of a fix. If someone wants to change their black male agent into an Asian female agent, who cares? Let them. Rather weary of looking at a character who just looks as 'off' as mine does.
Make the barber station able to change everything! Then between now and the fix you're hopefully working on to prevent the game from randomly re-assigning a face, I can just go back and correct it if the game glitches out again. Tired of looking like Gollum!

Add me to the growing list of those affected by this. My character that I've been using to solo through the game (lvl 22 now) has suddenly changed into a different character. What's the point in all tht time we put into customizing our characters in the beginning if this is going to be reset and then we have no way to change it back?
I agree with others that Ubi should at least give us the option to change our faces (as annoying as it would be, at least we could change our characters back when this happens). I mean, why isn't this an option anyhow? ....what's the downside? It provides no advantage in the game whatsoever and is simply cosmetic. This would be the easiest way to fix this for now I would think.
Kinda puts a damper on the immersion I would say. Seems those of us who are early adopters of some games never get to fully enjoy the full gaming experience as we put up with bugs like this that are never fixed until weeks or months out from launch.

My female agents face got glitched and changed from face 9 to face 0 permanently..
Loggin in/out or re-installing the game won’t fix this for me either, tried everything...
This happened in world tier 4 with 400+ gearscore.
Still playing, but the character-immersion is lost sadly...
Please give us some info on this already...

For me it occurred after a visit to the barber. It seemed to bleed over to another one of my four characters after I utilized the barber only on one of my four. Logging out immediately reverted my secondary and tertiary characters to their original face selections instead of sticking them at choice zero, however, my main is stuck with face zero which was not the face I originally chose. I would appreciate an opportunity to augment my avatar's appearance to correct the change that occurred beyond my control or desire.
