    It been a week?

wait so you mean to tell me that this was happening last week and this was an issue and now it's been 2 weeks and it's still an issue and it's happening to more and more people they need to hurry up and fix this before anything else comes out before it becomes a problem cuz I personally don't want to play my character because it's not the one I made or even play the game just feels wrong lol

I think the problem is they have nothing implemented in the game to fix it. It's likely they're having to program and create a feature to alter physical appearance from the ground up.

Meanwhile the apparel store is trying to sell me premium cosmetic items. It's time for an update on the BASIC cosmetic functions being fixed.

The glitch happens to me 3 times. The first two times, logging out and back in worked. The 3rd time it was permanent. I’ve also had a friend where logging out worked but I’m sure at some point it won’t.

    Character Appearance Changed Permanently

Same issue... Re-Logging does NOT fix the problem for me (on PS4).

I think we all understand and appreciate the job that Ubisoft and Massive have done here. I know I do. It is understandable that bugs occur and we usually find a way around them as a Community until they are fixed. However, this issue is of great importance to many because it completely affects our immersion of the game.

I have spend over 70 hours on this game already. All of the time spent has been with this character that I created and customized and that has been with with me the entire time as a reflection of all that I have overcome and accomplished here. To have this character changed without my knowledge or consent is like stripping me of those accomplishments. It’s like they didn’t happen. This completely affects my desire and drive to continue playing.

I see how from a developer stand point this might seem small or a back-burner issue. I sincerely hope this reaches someone and perhaps sheds some light on just how important this issue is to us players. To us, it is vital and of the utmost urgency.

Even allowing creation/edits of existing characters at the main menu would suffice. Anything that might help.

Anyways, Thank you for your time and I hope to hear some news soon.

Same happened to me last night.

After I reached endgame and picked up specialization, I noticed that my face looks unfamiliar. At first I wasn't sure if it's my imagination or indeed appearence has altered.
Made some 'test' and now I am certain that the face has changed to head 1 default from what I created .

I've ran several attempts to fix this - tried relogging multiple times, re-installing the game, restarting console etc. Someone said that going into Conflict lobby could help - tried that also - no effect.
It seems that the new appearence is permament now and appears constantly on character selection .

It is really frustrating - it takes away the pleasure and joy of the game and progress with character I created, devoted and progressed. It's like playing the game with a totally different, unknown character that is not you, yours and you don't have any emotional attachment too. I am playing the game but without this inner drive to progress my character, because now I don't feel it is MY character anymore .

Waiting for Ubi for a fix or one-time appearence-change possiblity.

Same here. My girl went from white with blonde hair, to asian with black hair.
    Not gonna play any further.

Already at WT4 and spent about an hour to create my character, not gonna start over.

They just need to make it so we can edit our appearance at will whenever and however many times we need to. Why just one time? Fallout 76 allows you to do it at any time you want and their character creator is way more advanced. Even if they charged currency for it like they do with the limited barber options that'd be fine. I have plenty of E-Credits. I'm 140+ hours into this character. Give us the ability to edit. It really baffles me that this was not included from the beginning.
