Honestly I'm completely lost for words. Iv'e never played an online RPG before where my character was permanently disfigured and I'm told to just basically suck it up, and create a new character, or wait for an unspecified date way down the pipeline in which a new NPC will be added to fix the damage. I thought seeing as this is a role playing game this sort of bug would be pretty high up in terms of priority, but after reading that whole, "The barber will be upgraded or an NPC will be added , but it won't be any time soon", all I can think to myself is wow.

Yeah it's a first for me as well. I've basically just resigned myself to using masks and enjoying the gameplay, but there is definitely a hit to the fun-factor when you're character isn't yours any longer.

I have to believe they will roll something out to address this, but... It's just kind of shocking to see this is a huge AAA RPG that actually had a focus on character creation at the start as opposed to stock faces.

Just feels like they don't know how to fix the bug currently. Honestly, if they had said to create a new character from the start instead of, "We are aware of the issue and investing it..." I might have actually done it. Definitely not now, since I've already put at least 250 hours into this game. Not having fun right now because of this bug plus the lack of inventory and stash space.

i've been playing with my character new appearance for the last 3 weeks.
it lessens the immersion and playing with a mask has been my workaround.

I can understand that there are bugs and that some of them have no easy fix.
What i question though is your ability (ubi soft) to communicate clearly on the forum and give us real direct, honest feedback about what we can expect (without us crawling the net for interviews and articles...), it should be more productive than apologising, which doesn't lead any of us anywhere.
So far the only relevant informations about the decisions made toward the bug fix has been relayed by the forum members.

A bug is bad but not knowing is worse.

Okay, so basically you can create a new character (from the beginning) but do not hire the barber during the gameplay,so far my new character haven't changed.

But what would you say to someone like me playing 430 hours and wanting to solve the problem ???

Honestly , I was so tired of the achievements I made , I do not have time to make a new character to work again because of my mistake going to the barber !!

Belive me man, my ugly character was 500 gs and now my new one is 500 gs too but with the face that i created(evading hiring the barber), obviously it took more like 2 weeks to achieve it and, believe me it was a teddious task to complete. It also helped putting all the good gear from the ugly one in the stash so the new character could use the high lvl gear when you hit lvl 30 making easier to get high gear score(gs).

I just recommend to create a new character to keep enjoying the game.After all, you pay for the game and I am so confident that they are not going to give you a refund so, we are stuck with this broken game.

I recommend to the devs to create a short time option to transfer progress between characters, since they are making no effort trying to fix this issue as it was supposed to be.
