This occured simply after logging into the game for me I didn't go to the barber recently. (I did however changed some tattoos and hair choice like a couple weeks ago but it was fine afterwards. It seems this problem occurred for most after the most recent patch.Originally Posted by Ubi-Redbeard Go to original post
I guess devs will have a hard time with this. Probably more than fixing the issue is how to get back lost data of the original characters the big problem. If data of the original character are lost it might be simply impossible to solve the issue. In this case they might fix it and give people the chance of editing again the aspect. But even in this case it will take time because it's a feature that it's not supposed to be in the game.
Td2 is an outstanding game, but at its current state is a beta with tons of game breaking bugs. We can only patiently wait and hope companies are going to stop to come out with games that simply are not ready to be released. Guess I won't buy anymore on-line games at day one.
My thoughts exactly.I guess devs will have a hard time with this. Probably more than fixing the issue is how to get back lost data of the original characters the big problem. Probably it's not that hard to find the 'leak' where code breaks and resets the character-design into default mode to prevent game from crashing,
but the real challenge is to retrieve the data back to restore characters to their original appearance.
If the characters are already overwritten with default-preset ( and it seems they are) then it might be impossible to restore them .
A way out of this is to give players possiblity to re-design character exactly as eith character creation... but as it is said - this feature is not implemented in the game and was not supposed to be and devs may have to write a lot of new code and system to give this possiblity, and that's the big problem here.
EDIT: just came up with an idea !
Ask players to create new char and then open ticket to boost these char to lvl 30 .
All items can be transferred through the stash, leveling specialization is not a big deal and it's the price I can pay easily.
That way, with the least effort this problem might be solved and overcome.
