    that AI ...

    So here's the thing.

    It's possible to attack a control point, and then 3 patrols to attack you. One of those patrols is from a different faction, so the leader when he appears chases after them to another control point.

    So there's me 4 patrols, 2 control points aggro me and then... oh another 2 patrols show up at the second control point.

    needless to say, i was boned.


    how can you create a mess of AI that allows this type of thing to happen.... the frustration was palatable.



    on another note, I've seen enemy reinforcements spawn inside a container for a territory control, easiest access key i'd ever get (yes it spawned outside it).

    It happened to me once or twice.

    I got fed up.

    Then I realized that it’s my own fault.

    Did I make sure the surrounding area is safe before I light the control point up like the 4th of July?

    No.

    Why not? It’s obvious that a firefight will attract attention.

    From then on i sanitized the area surrounding and never had a problem again.

    Oh wow, you didn't check your surroundings before lighting into a gang of heavily armed perps, and you complain.

    After playing plenty of missions in the underground section of TD1, I learned very quickly to check my immediate surroundings to make sure I didn't get flanked by someone I didn't notice. To have to do this in the LZ, I can't wait.

    Keep in mind OP that this is a third person TACTICAL LOOTER SHOOTER. This isn't TD1, so you can't treat it like it is. The AI is improved and you can quickly find yourself flanked on 3 sides before you realize. I had that happen a few times in the Open Beta, adjust tactics, watch for others before blowing something sky high and alerting every hostile in a 2 block radius.

    Yes i'm getting this as well the randomness isn't random at all its like they spawn right as you are attacking control points, trying to take down 20 plus enemies is not working.. and i did check the area i actually came from the area the enemies spawned from.. it was clear before i started..

    I had a hand cuff event where they just kept spawning overwhelmed me it was like a army of hyenas.. died three times before i gave up on that event..
