They just walk through a hail of bullets, hit you over the head and its over.
Not fun, as a newbe am trying to learn the game, just to die by one of these super humans and don't tell me I have to learn, am a 53 year old with a JOB and FAMILY so my game time is limited and I want to have a little bit of fun, not feel like "OH **** NOT AGAIN!"
The rushers are fine. This is what makes the game more realistic in ways and keeping most mobs less spongey. You do more damage but take less as even the red bar guys can kill you easily. You can't just key in on the boss, or another enemy. You have to be watching the map and see where they are all moving around just like you would have to do in a real fire fight.
For a casual player, they need to offer a tonned down version,
At the moment it just isn't fun.
I am and never will be a hardcore gamer, just want to pat my money and be entertained, not feel frustrated because I can;t get past one bad guy no matter what I try.
Am sure a D2 fanboy would be able to tell me that I suck and that they can do it without armour and a pee shooter....
Currently regretting my purchase which is sad, because the game is so well made apart from the combat difficulty
It's not about being casual or not. It's about simply watching where you are. They all yell before they rush you too. So when you hear them, find them first. Stay in cover. If you think one is coming leave cover and fall back and get them in front of you again.Originally Posted by nk125x Go to original post
You could also do different skills. As somebody else suggested the Turret is really nice for them as it will normally switch to the closest target and it does some nice damage. You could also make sure you have the shield. Sure the bulwark makes it so you can only use your sidearm, but bring it up when they get close and you will be able to kill them.
Unlike in Div 1 you can't just walk around out of cover shotting stuff and get through it. Yes I' sure some people can, but most people, myself included cannot.
What platform and level are you at this point?Originally Posted by nk125x Go to original post
Just running around and killing guys will level you some too giving you more points to unlock skills. Go get SHD caches as well if you can so you can upgrade your perks.
Here is a tip though for the turret. Assuming you got the basic one.
As soon as you kill a group and start moving on destroy the turret. Destroying the Turret or Drone resets the timer so it will be ready sooner during the next fight. Remember too though that all fights are more or less scripted, at least on missions. So hold off using the turret or other skills. Get through as many enemies as you can with just your weapons. Doing this will help ensure you'll have your skills up with the tough enemies in these "scripted" events happen.
I have noticed too though there are a lot of roaming packs. Sometimes you will engage one group and another will just hear gunfire and come running aand surround that just gets tough.
Which drone, the repair one? Is it getting shot down?Originally Posted by nk125x Go to original post
i find a clip of AR to the chest drops them at close range or one shot from a 700. they are actually weaker than most enemy mobs but the helmet makes headshots a risky choice so just go for the body, the chem bag is a viable target it is massive and it will stun anyone near just don't try for it point blank and if they get to close a combat roll can and will save your hide. but yes they are too powerfull especially when they get stun batons which can oneshot you from full armour.
dont forget the hive it can completely stall out anyone rushing you and it only takes a second to deploy.
