If you tried to sneak in like I did when this mission was first released, then ya it's kinda hard. It's still possible to sneak in by the Drone Jammer, (that's how I got in first few times), but it's hard and a lot of waiting for the patrols to pass.
The mission is actually not too bad if you know da wae. jk

The easy way to do it is to
1. kill power
2. sky dive in <- easiest way
3. sit in corner and aim for window
4. exfil thru side door
please note, do NOT call in mortar. There is a CHANCE you will fail the challenge coz buggy.
like this.. https://youtu.be/brIEDTbk8_4
Does not happen 100% but I'd rather not risk it.
No need to cheese it. I'd much prefer doing this mission than say, the Archangle mission, or Madre Coca mission where enemies spawns are messed up and mission is full of bugs.
Can’t see them either.Originally Posted by VirtualRain. Go to original post

For the record, I also hate this mission. By a fluke I actually managed to survive and complete this on my first try (in arcade difficulty with my TAR21, No freaking chance I'd actually try and do this without cheesing it)Originally Posted by Mongol_Horde Go to original post
I agree about the Predator mission too, The sound design in that is actually very good, both SFX and the iconic music. Very good nostalgia in the first part of the mission too, but I guess one would've had to have seen the movie to really like the mission. I also like that they only use inspiration from the first Predator film since the rest of them are... let's say not so good.
The boss fight is a bit tedious and doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but it's much better to fight a single strong enemy than being swarmed in this game.
The Solid Snake reference in the end cutscene is also a redeeming thing about the mission, but i think that it is now an exhausted list of them.
The whole mission would have been a lot better if there were several stages like the first one where you would have to sneak carefully without killing anyone. That would have been a better gameplay experience and would've been more in line with the theme.
Well. Am I the only one who is ok and maybe even likes this mission?
It is easy for me to sneak in to base near the watch tower (opposite side of a road where the jammer is, from the side where the wood is). Come near the fence, wait till guard comes to entrance, turns away and goes - lay down and crawl to the entrance. Right after it - turn left, crawl between fence and 2-store barrack (container-like). Then either enter the comm center if the guard is not there, or crawl by the right side and enter through window. Just be ware of guard on a tower.
When the fight starts - lay down infront of the stairs to the second floor (on the second floor, definitely), so you can only see door that's on the first floor, call reinforcements, and stay there. Few times unidads enter the second floor by the stairs that are from outside - but it can easy be defended with a jumper-mine, or intruder can be even shot down through the wall.
Also. Why is everyone so scared of not using ARs? This mission is much easier with the LMG. Suppressed U-100, if you have it - is awesome there. The fact that it has magazine feed makes it simply the best weapon because of fast reloads.
When stealing data is over - simply shot down the heli that can spot you, jump down the second floor (same direction where you came in) and run into the forest. If you came in prepared - you may leave car there, in the wood. Or heli.
Done this mission yesterday on Tier 1 on the first try.
I actualy like the first part, the sneaking bit. It's the gunfight that sucks. Wave defence in general sucks in the game, but it especially sucks in this mission because you cannot really prepare the perimeter first. And if you're doing this solo (which I do), your Team is useless, and you have to cover two entry-points by yourself. If you're playing co-op you can just cover a stair each, and it's much easier.Originally Posted by Snumsmumrik_07 Go to original post
Your point about LMGs is valid. I only used my AR since I already was cheesing it on difficulty, and it's the gun I'm used to using. I don't think that it's the modifier that have people objecting to this challenge though.
I tried it a few times on Extreme before giving up and cheesing it on Arcade.
The sneaking part is fairly easy... timing and thus patience are your friend although luck also plays a part as to who is where when you enter.
After that, I found I could not even do essential prep tasks before being killed on Extreme. First time I got killed before I could disable the generator (which is essential to enable the Medic Drone). Then I got killed trying to put a mine on the stairs, then I got killed by a sniper while trying to call for a Rebel Diversion. On Arcade, you can get your team engaged, disable the generator, call Rebel support, kill the sniper and a couple of early enemies, before you are really hurting. All this is essential, in my view, to surviving the following few minutes. Then I just go prone on the second floor and monitor the mini map. Spam more Rebels as soon as I’m allowed. Use the drone to revive my team, usually twice. And take out the helos with the Jungle. It might be doable on a harder difficulty, but not by me.![]()
You don't need to kill the generator, just disable the jammer. The jammer is just outside the network building you are in, and can be shot from several locations inside the building. You will need, in my experience, either an anti-material rifle or the M203.Originally Posted by VirtualRain. Go to original post
The generator is also an easy shot from the balcony of the building you're in... so I guess it doesn't matter which one you shoot but you still need to go out on the balcony which can be suicide in Extreme difficulty. I agree an anti-material rifle is key, the Jungle is awesome with it's rapid rate of fire.Originally Posted by Bone_Frog Go to original post![]()
You can shoot the jammer from inside the building on the stairs down to the first floor. That was where I hosed it with the M60 and then shot it with the BFG. I never exposed myself to enemy fire. I got a challenge failure when I used a sniper rifle... But that is a different story.Originally Posted by VirtualRain. Go to original post
