I understand that betas are really just demos before release, plus or minus a few extra bugs. So I wasn't expecting any big sweeping changes like changing up skills, gear, or missions. But if anyone remembers this post https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...-from-ETF-Mike there was a ton of valuable feedback that would be easy to implement immediately, and enhance the game's usability. Without going over the whole list there are some very simple things that should have been fixed and are for some baffling reason still present. Things like needlessly having to double click every menu element, having to hold F for absolutely everything instead of just one press. Having to watch little circles fill up for no reason when you just want to sell even though there is a buyback option for accidentally sold items.
There are many little things like that which are constantly slowing down the gameplay, and makes navigating menus, or interacting with objects/NPCs take far longer. It keeps players out of the game for much longer, and makes more impatient players unwilling to interact with certain systems because it's just not worth the time or hassle. So despite all this why was all the beta feedback ignored? Sure I found plenty of ubisoft reps saying they passed it on but are you telling me that the countless pages of feedback had absolutely nothing of value? Are we just wasting our time trying to help you? Some of these things like having to hold F to loot each time were issues that you had the entirety of D1 to resolve. So if there's a reason I'd like to know. But as it stands I'm confused why we even bother with a suggestion forum.
I found this very disheartening as well. UI can make or break a game since you must interact with it so often. Its literally the only thing keeping me from re-buying the game after having cancelled my pre order. That thread you linked wasnt merely complaining. There was good solid feeback there. Its a shame when devs dont listen to their customers.
I was curious if they were going to listen to anyones feedback on the issues In the game but im reading and seeing a lot of youtube videos on how nothing has changed. even the audio issues are still there on consoles especially. its like a plague. UI, glitches, bugs, all still there. I was hoping since a lot of the comments for feedback had gotten a response from moderators that we would be seeing fixes for the common complaints. but at this point it was just for show.
I haven't bought the game and really don't see a point in pre ordering. its 3 days early access for almost twice the price. not a good deal at all.
seems like the world tier idea has been poorly executed to. there's ways to get to max tier within a few hours which I think defeats the purpose of the whole system. you need to be exactly level 325 its not a recommendation which means there is no point in focusing on any builds until you reach the max tier level. wrong wrong wrong .
can this be patched... sure, but anyone who gets to the very end before that has a monstrous advantage. game breaking advantage actually and there are already people there.
sigh.
Thank you all for giving your thoughts. We all value the feedback shared with us. Regarding the OP, iff there are any points related to the UI that you feel were missing, please share them.
Refer back to this thread to see if there's anything that could be added.

I did already mention just a few things which are in this thread. That is after all why I linked to it. Just to name a few easy inclusions double clicking on PC is cancerous. I should never have to double click on anything other than enemies. You have once again emulated a gamepad on my PC rather than allow me to use the mouse for selection. So left click selects, and left click again to confirm. As though pointing and clicking isn't some indication that perhaps just maybe I want to equip the item. I can point at any piece of armor or weapon and literally nothing will happen. The old piece is still selected and I have to click just to be able to see the stat chart. There is no reason to have to click and should happen on mouse over. Remove all menus asking for confirmation of an action. Don't ask me if I want to open caches. There is literally no person, at any time, where that answer will be no. What's worse is that you ask me if I'm sure and then force to wait through the loading circle to open it. Any and all "hold to open" actions must be removed. A single click or keypress should be sufficient. This should be the case from everything to switching gear, opening caches, and even to all open world interactions. Looting must be down to a single keypress, not a hold for each individual drop.Originally Posted by UbiSc0ttie Go to original post
Please get rid of that static noise you create whenever the menu is opened. Thematically it makes no sense that we are using damaged equipment. It works in every other aspect except for random distortions and ISAC struggling to talk. From a gameplay perspective it just makes the secreen difficult to read. And why in god's name would you ever want your UI to be difficult to read at any point?
I could go on but honestly what is the point of me writing up another report of the same complaints we have already told you, and someone else has presented them far better. Your response only further proves my point that your team is simplying ignoring feedback. I understand that as a community manager you are probably required to say that our feedback is valued, but you are very clearly demonstrating that it's not. You tell me to read a thread that my post already links to, and despite your team being very clearly aware of it you haven't actually implemented any of it. So explain to me why it is that despite having a very large and dedicated community, taking the time and effort to assist your team in designing improvements that are welcomed by the players, there isn't actually any hint that anything is being changed. Maybe I could understand if you had all these changes ready but were just waiting for a patch to bundle them in with other fixes. Or maybe it turns out it takes far more time than one would think. But to just simply ask for feedback and plug your ears...well I find it hard to warrant any further purchases is that's the attitude the team is going to take.
