With the new Burnt Horizon update UBI had cut off support for all people using dual core CPU's (2 physical core / 2 physical cores and 2 logical). This may be a bug, but some devs say different. UBI-Banditcoot has said that Dual Core Support has ended in this forum. --> https://steamcommunity.com/app/35955...9319407/?ctp=2
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT IF DUAL CORE SUPPORT IS CUT
- People who have spent money and time in this game are basically being slapped in the face. I have 2 friends who play this on Pentiums and run this game fine. Both have many hours into the game and I truly think this is outrageous. Now people don't have a game, and UBI has the money for it.
I am not affected by this, but I still find it outrageous for a title that prides itself on its large playerbase and community to rip ~3-6% of their players off of the game.
EDIT (3-13-19): It seems that Ubi has some conflicting info right now. Some devs are saying support is cut for Dual Cores while some emails and other devs are saying that they are working on it and that Dual Cores are still supported. I have yet to find one person who's game does not freeze that is on Dual Core.
Now to address those who think that people are dumb for trying to play games on dual core. While yes, I agree that playing on a dual core in 2019 is obsolete, UBI should still not rip off the support for them without notice or compensation. Whether it meets sys. requirements or not. They were able to play the game, and now they can't.
It is not that I have a Dual Core CPU that makes this upsetting to me. It is the fact that a game that costs money ended support for, a still considerable, number of people. I just feel that it was handled unprofessionally, considering there was no announcement or official confirmation.
Also, from the data I've gathered, CPUs with 4 logical cores, as in 2 physical and 4 Threads are still supported.
I agree that Dual Core gaming is outdated, but it still should not cut people of from a game that they may have been playing for years. (And cost $60 on launch)
So now my friend has received this email. --- This is where my frustration lies. Why are devs on forums saying things different from each other and official UBI.
Ubi-Gumdrops and UbiMullac are saying different( https://steamcommunity.com/app/35955...1737977633203/ ) things from Bandicoot from the forum posted in the original thread. And now these emails are saying things different.
Now it says he meets CPU requirement, but he still can't play as he only has "3.64GB of RAM". Friend has 8GB -- He cleaned cached RAM and got his available MEM to above 6, but still freezing
I believe it is still a CPU issue that Ubi is dealing with. (Either fix or forget, Who knows?)
From the links you posted, it seems that your friends and the others with the same problem all had CPUs that did no meet the minimum requirement but that still worked with the game. While it's sad for them, you have to understand that those minimum requirement are there for a reason. Software engineers use those to know what they can and cannot do with their software.

If you scroll down the R6Fix thread you can see that everyone on this page is on Dual Core CPUs --> https://r6fix.ubi.com/live-server/LI...ng_to_session/
If I may ask, What CPU do you have?
