I wouldn’t go in until you’re prompted by the game to go there. I found a way in and it blocked me from having access to Jefferson Plaza. Now the Castle is bugged for me. It’s open, but I can’t do anything there except stare at the marker telling me to talk to Kelso.

i talked to kelso, then cleared the other settlement with the mortars ( i think ) and now the castle is greyed out and cant get in the bunker

You need to go around to the church entrance side, the waypoint marker tries to lead you in the back which make it appear closed up, hope it helps

Tried clear choke control point / jefferson plaza mission and noa mission and castle still greyed

Theres someway to bypass this bug?

It must have something to do with progression in the game as I hd no issue apart from having to run two city block to get in

Yeah for some reason my castle is grey and no one is inside.
