Today the last solo challenge is to do Mojocoyo’s Boss without leaving a trace. Of course, most people will just Sync shot the whole place, but I’m curious to see if it can be done without any trace you were there.

If done this way, presumably, it would remove suspicions that Gabriella gives up Antonio (it would give her plausible deniability), so it’s a worthy challenge.

Anyone else going to try it this way? Any thoughts on whether it’s possible?

@Frag, you think you can parachute into the house roof top undetected?

I've never tried that mission in the dark, and I assume you'd get no benefit of guards sleeping because it's a Buchon's house they're guarding, not a base with barracks. That said, there's usually one guard at the edge of the driveway just outside the house that often sleeps sitting in a chair, even in daylight. If there's one or two others that do that at night, it might be doable. Still though, keeping Gabby from panicking and alerting them would be a problem.

If by no trace you mean no kills, realistically you'd need some kind of feature to knock out guards without them knowing it when they wake up, like a drug that makes them sleepy or something. The game just doesn't allow for that kind of thing. Otherwise you'd need to somehow pull off a miracle using lures or managing to sneak to Gabriela undetected and remain undetected after questioning her. My guess is that as soon as you grab her anywhere inside the house, all the guards in and around the house would immediately be on alert.

The guards in the driveway are very hearing sensitive, which is why I wait until the guy on the balcony at the front of the house goes to the far railing before killing him. If you could give us some kind of idea what is acceptable as far as no trace I could try it, but I'm not really keen on using those diversion lures. They are not only very unrealistic, as pretty much any guard would be alerted by something spewing green smoke suddenly appearing, but they're also often ineffective at luring except for a very short distance, which is often no help.

Not sure if you can toss diversion lures whilst parachuting, but it might take something like an approach from the direction of that sniper's position, tossing a lure on his roof at the far edge opposite the target house, then landing on the slope of the house nearest the sniper, and tossing another lure to the front end of the driveway to facilitate dropping off the roof on the patio atop the driveway stairs. Then it's good luck getting out undetected, let alone interrogating Gabby without problems. Any way you do it you'd need perfect timing and some luck.
Ok, so I just did the infiltration bit undetected twice, with two different methods. Both were done at night, and while none of the guards at the house go to sleep, some of the guards in the village go to bed in the houses around the villa, but not many, and sadly not the sniper. I didn't interact with any guards or used any gear other than the drone for spotting and finding the exact window needed.

    1. - Parachute onto the roof. The sniper has three positions on the roof he's on, if he's in the middle one, looking straight at the villa, you're screwed. The animation for removing the chute takes to damn long. If he's in one of the other two, it works. As stated I did this at night, I wouldn't bother with even trying this during the day. Jump down on the south-eastern terrace and walk into the second floor when the guard there walks down the stairs. If you're trying to roleplay this though VirtualRain, the parachute gets left behind by Nomad, and that would be incrimenating for Gabriella.

    2. - Vault the fence on the south side then go into the garage. Several cavehats to this one, though. You only have a very short window when the guy at the south-eastern terrace starts walking back up the stairs after standing for a short while in the courtyard, it's the only time he has his back to you. The guy in the middle of the courtyard pretty much has to be asleep in the chair as Frag mentions. He also has a position where he looks straight west that should work, but since it has to coincide with the other one walking up the stairs, it's a gamble and a long wait.

Also don't bring your AI teammates. I managed to get in undetected, but while interrogating Gabby, Weaver got spotted walking in the front gate and all hell broke loose.

The camp does NOT get alerted after having interrogated Gabby. You can simply vault over the terrace railing and walk away. Even when Nomad starts shouting loudly to Gabby when Nomad identifies her, noboby notices.

Yeah it sounds like there's a lot less guards at night, which between that and less visibility would certainly make it doable. I'm still wondering if that sniper is on the nearby roof though, which may make a chute landing tough. I was thinking of the same exit he mentioned by hopping over the back balcony railing though, which is the way I did it last time. A tricky thing for me would be using Antonio's car to take him to the safehouse though. That would pretty much require the EMP drone stopping his car, and I've only ever got it to momentarily disable vehicles, then they drive off. Another possible way is shooting up his car until he gets out, but before it's destroyed, which isn't easy to do with the more delicate sports cars.

The EMP drone only really works if you're really close to the disabled vehicle, I usually hide in a bush or behind a car at the very side of the road. If there's noticeable distance between you and the EMPd car, it pretty much instantly drives off. I used it this way today for both Antonio and El Wey.

I've done it without a trace before when I didn't know you could sync shot in previous challenge.

Didn't know that, and that's mainly because it makes no sense whatsoever. Your distance from the drone should only come into play as far as the working range it has. It either works from the distance you're trying to use it, or it starts losing signal. For it to stop cars more effectively at a closer range within it's working distance is, in a word, ridiculous.

None the less I'll give it a go. Sorry if I'm skeptical though, because I recall seeing videos of some using it at the same range I've been with far better results than I've had. It might matter what build version of the game you're running too, because I've seen a lot of forum talk claiming they nerfed the EMP drone via a patch to be less effective on convoys to the point where a lot of players only rely on it for getting through gates anymore.

I really does not make sense, and it's very possible peoples results vary with this beacause I'm pretty sure it's actually a bug. That's the only thing that makes sense to me anyway.

Awesome! Thanks for the tips. I’m guessing there’s no way to get in without a parachute? (EDIT: missed your alternat infil notes 2)
    I suck at nailing landings.

I’ll give this a try later today.

As for the parachute being evidence, could you potentially fold it up and carry it out or at least ditch it somewhere it may not be discovered for awhile?

Mission accomplished without leaving a trace. Awesome! Thanks guys.

I went over the wall at night after waiting in the dumpster for several minutes for just the right moment. Whatever it takes!

That method stinks, quite literally. Now head to the showers Nomad!
